Good quality, strong with good heavy chrome :)
Was looking for unconventional handlebars for my XT250, which I frequently go trail riding with. I wanted narrow, lift and pullback, and these bars are about perfect. Part of my logic was that they were too inexpensive to not experiment with, and I wasn't wrong.
I was worried about strength at first, but they are great. All of these 7/8" steel handlebars from EMGO are the same thickness of high quality chrome molly steel tubing, and it is completely strong enough to be just fine regardless of which model or street vs. dirt use. They are all tough as nails, and will work just fine assuming you aren't completely insane crashing all the time (dirt race jumping type folks may need exotic things for a reason, the rest of us mere mortals don't).
(These are not junk like many fleabay Chinesium mystery metal parts, I've seen kids pit bike handlebars made out of tin-can thickness soft steel and aluminum almost like a dollar store broom handle.)

awesome fit, great look
i just got a new setup for my bike to help make riding more comfortable, and easier on my hands due to my arthritis caused from severe injuries to my hands in the past, the fit and look of them on the bike is perfect, and has improved the ride 100%, they have a great classic look and suit the bike beautifully.

Not as advertised
So, these bars were supposed to be bmx style, 7/8", but they do not fit on metric risers. I doubt that they would fit harley risers either. Only about 3.5" between bends - way too close together to stradle metric risers. :(

Will these fit on my yamaha xj 650 1983?
I can't answer 100% for sure, but... From everything I've seen, all the old Yamaha bikes used 7/8" handle bars, and that makes me 99% confident these would fit perfectly. I have a 1983 SR250, same thing. I also have a 2007 XT225, and a 2015 XT250, and these bars fit both of those newer bikes too. Just check that the bars you have are the normal 7/8" diameter up near the handles, and that they don't taper to a larger size in the middle, and you should be fine.
