Great mid tier boot
Purchased these boots several weeks ago as a present for my son to use on our adventure rides. We've been riding offroad together since he was 5 and now, 20 years later neither one of us feels good about putting a tire on dirt without having our feet in sturdy boots with good shin protection. I ride in Klim GTX's, but I almost wish that I'd saved a few bucks and bought these instead. The buckles are idiot-proof reliable, the waterproofing seems ok, the sole is more flexible and softer than an MX boot for absorbing vibration, and they broke in rather quickly. So far so good. I'm glad that First Gear have this as an option in the ADV market for those of us who really use our bikes in the dirt.

Light weight & good protection
I've had these boots for a few weeks. I originally ordered a Men's Size 10 but they were too small, toe box cramped & narrow. Reordered a Men's Size 11, these feel great. The boots are light weight, & comfortable with a reasonable amount of protection. The plastic buckles are little on the light weight side, but secure well enough. These boots are for the enthusiast who rides a few times a week, on the back roads with the occasional dirt road. I don't see them as world traveler kit or motocross footwear.

Good fit
Havnt worn riding yet due to snow. Fitment bang on seem comfortable enough walking around. Buckles could be a little more heavy duty though. Light plastic I can see damaging.

Boots not so great - awesome customer service
I bought these about six weeks ago and when they arrived I was super happy with them. The build quality seemed good for the price and they were pretty comfortable. After my first ride however, the right boot started protruding and creasing. It looked like it was going to wear through quickly. So I contacted customer service and very quickly heard back from them. They were able to issue a refund within a few days and were overall super helpful. I'll be buying from fortnine again just because of the service I received...just not these boots

Comfy but lacks protection where it's needed
I had a crash with these on and the bike was on my legs, I sustained an injury (luckily nothing broken) but the boot protection wasn't there for my ankles. I don't recommend these boots for protection.

Super Comfy NOT WATERPROOF
I’ve had these boots for almost 2 years. Super comfy to wear, easily able to walk around and “hike a bit” with them on BUT they are not waterproof. Recent trip across Newfoundland and we got caught in a rain storm. I had full rain gear one but within minutes both my feet where soaking wet.

Threads came loose after first ride !
I purchased these boots based off the positive reviews and the fact they’re “waterproof”.
They are indeed waterproof, however the stitching along the top of the calf area has come loose on both boots after one light ride on 50%road and 50% trails.
The price is definitely affordable, but they should have doubled up on that stitching in the area mentioned.

Not bad
Haven't used them much yet but I think it's a case of "you get what you pay for". Quite a bit cheaper than others and certainly functional, but a little rough around the edges. I can't undo some of the buckles without the use of a prying tool. Hoping they break in more. However, they are strudy and protective which is why I bought them, so I would still recommend them. Next time I will shop in person more and then see if Fort Nine has what I'm after. As usual, fast shipping and top notch service from the folks at Fort Nine!

Any sizing chart available?
There is no size chart for this item, however, feedback indicates the item fits true to size, although some users found the toe box to be a bit narrow so in those cases they went a size up.
