Everything I expected. Simply the Best!
These pants are cut like a jean. There is a gusset inside the pant leg from below the knee to the bottom, that may be tucked inside a high boot as a barrier to the elements while wearing the pants over the boot. The waist size is right on the typical jean size. The inseam is cut for the seated position without riding up the leg and without pinching at the groin. The knee pads are in place while riding and there are comfortable pads at the hips. The suspenders are comfortable, but may be removed. On hot days, these pants might be slightly warm, but, while in motion, should be comfortable. The pads offer a noticeable feeling of safety, without sacrificing comfort, as they are firm, yet flexible and cushioning. There is enough room to wear long johns and/or a base layer for cooler weather. The pockets are easily accessed. The only slight inconvenience is the gusset inside the fly. If you are seeking roadside relief and have natural advantage, opening the snap on the waistband should suffice. Others will need to lower the pants slightly.

Not as versatile as I had hoped
I bought these to replace some Firstgear Kathmandu overpants that got damaged in an accident. Overall I think the another pair of Kathmandus would have been a better choice.
Firstly, the interior is scratchy and uncomfortable so I usually wear some light pants underneath. But the main issue is the lack of ventilation. Yes there are zippers up the sides which the product description calls "copious ventilation" but that is misleading. You could ride with the side zips open and have ventilation, but then you would have NO protection in a fall. On a hot day you'll have to choose between comfort and protection - pick one, you can't have both. The Kathmandu overpants have vents that can be open on hot days and closed on rainy or cold days, and have good protection in both cases.
And one last gripe - there is only one small pocket with a zipper. All the rest are open and lined with slippery waterproof material - if you carry a wallet or phone in the front pocket while you ride there is a good chance you will lose it, or else it will get soaked if it rains.

Fantastic!
I'm really loving these pants! They fit true to size and offer a lot of protection. On hot days the entire side can be vented. They look good and are more comfortable then my favorite pair of jeans!

So far so good ...
Just got these pants and did first test run today in the wind and some drizzle. While not a whole lot of rain, I was warm and dry.
Comfortable. Look good. Relaxed fit. Decent material/nylon. Decent protection although I upgraded to level 2 armour.
Fit true to size (I wear a 36w32L jean ... got the 38w and they are plenty big to use as an over pant).
My one complaint is that in two places the stitching completely missed the material. I fixed those spots ... but I have to wonder how many other spots the same thing happened but that I have just not noticed yet. Not a huge deal but a little concerning.
Of note ... originally I had ordered the "Kathmandu" pant. I returned those because the material/nylon felt about as thick as a typical wind breaker. I would not want to go down in those hoping for them to save my hide. They were also extremely baggy which I didn't want. The Kilimanjaro model is definitely a sturdier pant.

Weather proof
Very good waterproofing. Rode in heavy rain and even some hail and come out dry. I normally wear a 30'' waist and 30'' inseam on my jeans and size 30 in these pants fits me okay with just enough room to fit over a pair of jeans but they are a bit long, a short might have fitted me better but wasn't available in a 30'' waist. When worn as just pants the breath ability is good but using them as over pants they heat up a bit. Also would've liked to see a white colour available to match my kili jacket.

Solid and warm pants
I bought these earlier this month and have used in pretty heavy rains. They are extremely warm and comfortable. However, the sizing is small. I had to exchange for the next size up, which fits great. Fort Nine was great about the exchange; easy.

Good fit and well built
Fits according to sizing chart. Good construction, only complaint is seams on knee pad pockets rub when worn with nothing underneath. As overpants this isn't a problem. Recommended.

Questions
I Wear size 34” athletic fit jean. I’m not sure of sizing even though First Gear suggests using pant size. Are these pants intended to be an over pant or wear alone? I can’t decide if I should error on the side of caution and order size 36.
Firstgear was true to size for me.
