The Fly Racing Dirt F2 Carbon MIPS Cold Weather Helmet represents race-inspired, lightweight helmet technology utilizing carbon/Kevlar shell construction. The outer shell is constructed using state-of-the-art, aircraft grade woven carbon fiber and Kevlar® composite materials, which creates superior strength while remaining extremely light. The dual density EPS liner is comprised of two layers of EPS (Expanded Polystyrene), one softer and one slightly harder, which combine to provide more progressive impact absorption for different levels of impact. Though it shares many of the same construction features as the leading Formula model, the F2 Carbon has its own unique style and identity. Additionally, the MIPS low-friction layer can absorb more of the rotational force of impacts, adding more protection than other helmets can offer.
Features:
MIPS Multi-Directional Impact Protection System for dramatically improved rotational impact energy displacement
Carbon matrix composite construction shell
Includes a cold weather plug kit to help block the cold weather

TFV (True Functional Ventilation) includes 11 intake and 4 exhaust vents that create massive airflow to keep your head cool

Love Fly Racing!I bought this item over a month ago and have had the chance to use this product for over 10 rides so far. The helmet is super light weight so it does not cause any issues with neck stiffness or soreness. I have been using Scott Prospect Goggles with the helmet and a Klim Arctic Balaclava. My set up has worked great as I have had no issue with goggle fog or freezing. The cold weather shield works amazing also. No unwanted air enters the helmet keeping you warm and dry for extended periods of time riding.
Does this helmet have sufficient ventilation for use as a summer dirt bike helmet ? The ad seems to really focus on cold weather.
Asked by: James
Good airflow, you would want to remove the cold weather components for summer use though.

So this helmet is a regular helmet and comes with additional plugs and stuff for the cold , or is it a helmet designed for the cold ? If I used this in the summer would I over heat?
Asked by: KyleG
This includes a cold weather plug kit to help block the cold weather, and for the summer time as long as you took out the plugs you would be okay.
