Great Helmet with Minor Complaints
My head is 58.5cm, but I ordered a size large and medium to compare, as I'm a size medium in Shoei, Arai and Bell. I ended up returning both because I was getting a hotspot in the forehead, and even when I was just sitting watching TV with the helmet on (size large), all I wanted to do was get it off my head. This is obviously going to be head specific, but if you find intermediate-oval helmets fit you (like me), this probably won't be comfortable. Maybe an XL would've been better, but I feel the issue was the round shape, not the size, as the large was otherwise comfortable and fit well.
As for the helmet itself, it's good quality and has a lot of venting. The liner isn't overly comfortable, but I'm also comparing it to helmets that are 2-3x the price.
My only real complaint about the helmet itself was that the strap sits pretty far back and it starts to dig into your neck when it's done up. I found this annoying when just walking around the house, so I can't imagine how annoying that would get on the bike.
So overall, if you know Fly helmets fit your head this is a great option, especially at the current (July 2024) sale prices. If a premium liner is important, there's other options.
Fortnine was great with this process though and gave me no issues with returns, even with both helmets being on sale. Still the best place to buy bike gear in Canada.
