        Description

The redesigned PowerBomb is a four-stroke header that incorporates FMF's patented PowerBomb module at a precise location in the initial stage of the header. By positioning this "Bomb" at a key point in the system, increased performance and flow is achieved through the expansion and contraction of exhaust sonics through the system. Result is a flow increase of nearly 10%! The outer chamber in the Powerbomb allows the air to expand, cool and ramp back up at a higher velocity.

Additionally, the PowerBomb is a "pre-muffler" of sorts which helps to lower the bikes sound output by providing more sound absorbing surface area for the sound medium (exhaust gases). On some models, you can choose between a moto or supercross version. The supercross version is designed for more low to mid-range power where the moto version is focused in the mid to upper RPM range.

        Features:

        • Utilize FMF's patented module precisely located at the initial stage of the header
        • Position "Bomb" increases performance; horsepower is increased as much as 10%
        • Act as "pre-muffler" helping to lower the decibel output
        • The expansion and contraction of exhaust sonics through the system causes increased flow
        • Not for use with stock muffler

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks good, but came all scratched up. Looks and sounds good but the part nearest to the head was sorta scratched up, not a huge deal for me as I'll probably wrap it. It's also way quieter than I expected which I like, but if you're going for a loud exhaust you may not want that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice n' strong Now although this bike says it adds "upto 10% power" you wont feel it, but with that being said, it is built extremely well and the welds are flawless, the header is nice and solid and a bit on the heavy side but dents will be less likely, shipping was extremely fast and the header fit with 0 issues

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Header Bought this for my boys dirtbike to replace the original titanium header. After about two weeks it started to rust. For the price they charge for this thing it should be made out of titanium or stainless so it doesnt rust. Quality not that great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Add on Mod ! Great powerbomb mod to add to the 08 KX250F. Sounds great and feel it adds to bottom end power through the half to full throttle. Looks great and the heat gives it a awesome blueish purple hue to match the gold color from the heat ! Would reccomend to anyone who has the money to spice it up and enjoy the bike work !

        Questions

Do I need to rejet the carb if I have a full aftermarket exhaust system

        Asked by: That guy
You don’t need to but for a few bucks you’ll really notice the difference. I would suggest if you rejet, do a breather mod or performance air filter also to get the full potential. The aftermarket exhaust is uncorking the back end and by re jetting you’ll be letting more fuel in. That with the increased airflow will improve performance.

Does this fit the stock muffler of a 2017 rmz250?

        Asked by: Rmz250
It should. The FMF muffler’s are designed to slip on to the stock header and fit the FMF line of headers as well.  By process of elimination, I would say it will. You may have to alter the gasket that joins the two either trim or add but I doubt it. Hope this helps. Just an FYI, I would recommend replacing either the muffler before the header or both at the same time.
