Great
I have an Alpinestars Nucleon Chest protector, which was good but I always felt the protection area was a bit small. I ended up banging a lower rib in a minor tumble and decided to get this one instead. It’s very good quality and covers me from my upper centre chest down to my lower ribs. It is a bit more work to put on and off and especially if you’re going in for coffee and don’t want to leave on your jacket. But it does slip on and off very easily. Forcefield does have the even larger rib protector, I think it’s called, but as somebody noted you don’t want to restrict your range of movement too much. most of my past bikes were super sports. The shoulder straps are too long and I will shorten them by folding over part of the strap and sewing it. Even fully cinched in with the Velcro patches It’s still drops down on me a bit. The smaller size would not offer the coverage I need though.
I definitely recommended it, I am pleased with it and like wearing it. It is not excruciatingly hot in the summer and nice in the cooler weather. I have a faring but still get wind on my chest of course and this piece offers a good amount of insulation.

a serious piece of armour
I bought a S/M since, in one place on the listing it says it fits up to 43" chest = my size. Though the size of the chest plate was fine, the chest straps were too short. I contacted Forcefield directly and they confirmed that if I go up to the L/XL size, the chest plate gets bigger. The chest plate is impressive and would likely be quite protective, but has little in the way of venting. The only vents are the 12 vertical slots one can see in the smooth, vertical sections of the protector. I suspect it would be quite warm...think of a T-shirt with a big, rubber picture heat-fused to the front or back of it. I returned it due to the sizing but I'm going to take a look at the Icon D30 LP1 next (it is also a Level 1 protector) as it has considerable venting. I'm getting a custom leather suit made and it will fit tight enough so the Icon protector will not need straps to stay in place.

comfortable protection, good value.
good fit, got the small/medium, i'm 5-10 w 40in chest. great protection, very comfortable, good strapping, but not perforated as it seems in photos. the shield is solid except for a few small cutouts. so a bit sweaty underneath but no biggy.

Questions
can this chest protector mount on with the forcefield pro l2k or do they have to be worn individually?
Yes, you can wear the chest protector and the back protector together
