Good fit with decent protection
I bought these because they have tail bone padding because I have a tendency to go over the bars sometimes. I wish the newer versions of these shorts did not remove this protection. The hip padding is good and doesn't get in the way during pedalling.
I only wish there was also thigh protection and the area under the protective pads is not very breathable (I'm definitely more sweaty under those areas after a ride). Even though there is a small silicone strip at the leg openings, these will slightly ride up my legs during longer rides.
For reference, I'm 5'7", 145 lbs with a 31" waist and a medium fit perfectly. Overall, I like these shorts. They're comfortable with decent protection.
