Description

Versatility is top of mind with the Legion Jacket, effortlessly blending off-road durability and functionality with pure race performance. Designed to withstand cold weather elements and chilly morning starts, it easily converts to a vest for those multi-climate rides, giving you the flexibility to shed the sleeves and store in the large rear cargo pocket and ride on.

Tough and durable, the abrasion-resistant fabric used on the front, shoulders and outside arms, means you're well protected from overhanging branches, brush and other obstructions you'll encounter riding tight single track. Furthermore, it includes internal pockets which accept D3O® elbow pads (sold separately). For an increased range of motion, stretch Cordura® is used on the back, inside arms and side panels.

Features:

  • Cordura® Ripstop construction in high abrasion zones with TruMotion® zonal stretch panels
  • 850D polyester main durable body fabric
  • Removable sleeve system allows jacket to be converted into a vest (sleeves can be stored in rear pocket)

Questions

How water resistant is this jacket? I'd like to use it for spring and fall riding in the cold/wet. (Nice to see sleeves come off for when it warms up) and would this do OK for small sections of highway in between trails (with the d 30 armor)

Asked by: Bob27
Hey Bob, I used mine for the first couple of times in winter here in BC. It held up really well with snow and light rain (haven't been able to test it with heavy rain). I was wearing 2 layers under the jacket (warm long sleeve shirt and jersey on top) and I actually felt a bit hot, so for me it works well against the cold. I can't speak for its comfort in the highway but I did ride some FSRs between trails and it definitely helped protect me from the cold air. I think going sleeveless will be my go to option unless it's super cold outside.
