Killer boots
Bought these to replace a pair of Adventure 2’s. These are made in Italy and the build appears to be far superior to the A2s. Real leather that is breaking in nicely and a stitched on sole with decent tread. The A2s are synthetic leather and the sole is glued on with fake stitching stamped into the rubber. Excellent ankle protection on these boots with an external hinge. Completely waterproof but a bit warm to wear in summer.

High Quality Italian boot with a wide toe box
Nice Quality boots with a wide toe box. My previous boots were the Sidi Adventure 2's but my feet got sore during multi-day rides so I tried these. I like these better because they have more leather, they're more comfortable, and there is less squeaking than with the Sidi's. Also tried the Alpinestar Toucan but liked the workmanship/quality better on the Gaerne G-Dakar's.

comfortable right out of the box
decided to go with the gaerne dakars for a few reasons. first they have gore tex, second made in italy, third wider fit than some, lastly they look great. wasnt sure which size to get as im normally an 11.5 us size and they only had full sizes. so i based my decision on the euro size which was 46 (which is what some of my other footware translates to) and they fit perfectly. havnt had them out on the bike yet, but so far just walking around the house i have no complaints.
