Great boots
Had the boots for 5 good rides very impressed very comfortable great protection so far no complaints also I was worried they wouldn't fit my calf as I have very large calf and they fit well

Great boot!!
Good protection. These boots help me squeeze the bike better with my legs, only downside to these boots is they are pretty squeaky but I don't really mind. The buckles have not come undone once since I've had them. Overall great boot

Decent Boot
For the money it isn't a bad boot but also isn't excellent either. I've had several issues with them, one of which I believe to be a design flaw. Overall I would say the quality is good, it's nice that they are still made in Italy and not China, but I feel like the protection is lacking for an enduro boot. Within the first few weeks of owning these boots I hyper extended my ankle. I was able to ride a couple weeks later, but had pain walking and running for about 9 months. I felt that the boots being only a couple weeks old should have been stiff enough to minimize that injury. Side to side I am able to completely fold the boot over by hand, as well. The design flaw I mentioned earlier (see images) is that the "hinge" if you can call it that is made up of a male end that just sits in a pocket. The issue with this is the female side has a lip on it that gets easily caught on the edge of you foot peg when dabbing. This has caused me to crash several times because it's actually gotten stuck on the edge of my foot pegs, but it has also torn up the female side of the hinge, which allowed the male end to completely pop out. I emailed Gaerne with some feedback on this design about a year ago and didn't even get a response. I also felt like the straps felt fairly cheap, but they work fine and don't pop open more than any other boot.
TLDR: Nice that it's made in Italy not China, the boot itself is fine, but lacks the protection I would like to have. For the price point my friends have gotten boots with superior protection, and did not have the flawed hinge. My next boots will still be Gaerne, but I will get the SG-12 for the superior design.

Fits well
I originally bought the Alpinestars Tech 3 and thought they would be fine. I had to size up in the Alpinestars for my wide feet. I finally got fed up with feeling like I had clown shoes on and decided to try the Gaernes. These fit amazingly well with plenty of width in the toe box to spare. I’m excited to try them for the season.

Poor Quality Boots
Boot straps are very flimsy. Will likely break soon. Very uncomfortable, the front of the boots dog into my legs just above the ankle. Should have went with the Tech 7’s again.

Do these boots have a wide fit option?
There is no wide fit option, but as others have mentioned Gaerne boots are already pretty wide.
