Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable riding boots, run a little big. Had these boots for close to 2 months. I ride an adventure bike so they have seen on and off road.. did fine in both. Feet stayed dry. I normally wear a size 12 but a 12 with these was loose. I wear thicker socks to make up for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They are an excellent boot for the riding I do. This is my second pair of Gaerne boots. My first pair was the Air Gore-Tex boots. They served me very well. I went with the Helium Gore-Tex boots this time because of the extra height and slightly thicker sole compared to the Air boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boot For All Riders I've had Gaerne boots before and this is my 3rd pair for a reason. I'm what you would call a casual weekend rider on a mid-sized ADV bike that rides mostly tarmac and FRS's as well as loose secondary and packed dirt roads, nothing technical and these boots have been up to the task on all fronts. 1. They fit as expected, I am a size 10 regular in all my footwear so the EU sizing I ended up with was 44.5, but in other size charts is states 43 so be wary and careful there. I do have just a smidge of toebox room left after I put on my merino wool socks (a must for all times of year riding), and yes the toebox is a bit tight that is the reason I went with the 44.5 vs 44 or 43. I'm personally not a fan of buckles, nothing against them but I'm not technical enough and if we are all honest most go for the cool look vs practicality of the boot. Putting these on are not tight once you fully unzip the size zipper that is super easy to get to and there is a pull strap on the back, although this is one of my beefs, it's not as strong as I think it will need to be but I don't use it that much. As new, they are stiff to be sure and will require wearing them around the house for a while to start to break them in and deep knee bends help. I like the added little touch of reflective items on the boot although not really enough to be worth it. Protection is also good, some say in a spill there isn't enough armour and my thought are this, I've seen buckled boots tear up the leg from just the buckles or the bike falling on their leg, not many boots will protect from that. The H2o protection is also very good and usually when you get solid water repellent you get a hot boot but these vent reasonably well and that is likely due to the top of the boot not being super tight around the calf unless you have big calf's. Velcro...some like it, some hate it, I find that when you do basic boot maintenance during the season you may have to clean the Velcro a bit to get the stuff that sticks to it, I do it 2x per season and have zero issues with both pairs of boots that have the same set up. I am also liking how much taller they are, not ADV/off road tall, but taller than my First Gears are so less likely to get any rain up there when riding in mother natures shower. I anticipate these to be my last pair of boots for the next 4-5 seasons. If I had only one thing to ask for in boots like these is to any of the manufacturers to add more sole tread, just a bit thicker and more lugs is all. Aside from that, not at all unhappy with these. Gaerne boots are not as popular but they should be.
