Strong, looks good, easily removable, made well
I bought the Givi PLXR5100 pannier case mount/holder from FortNine Canada as I could not find one for sale in England (or western Europe). Just relieved that FortNine had one of these. Nice looking pannier frame. Nice. Nice. Nice
It was delivered to my freight forwarder ShipByMail in Port Conquitlam B.C. who then sent it to me in Suffolk, England. Took about two weeks in total, FN door to my door, inc. a short delay while it cleared UK Customs, and I paid customs fees.
Would like to have given 5 stars, but only four stars as I have not used it with a full load in my new Givi V35N 2x35L panniers. (imho the Givi V35N panniers are much better looking than the BMW cases which appear huge)
Time consuming to fit, as I had to remove a lot of body work on my 2011 BMW R1200R Classic MU, and also remove the Givi top box rack already on my bike, but now it is fixed in place it feels well made and secure. Love the quick release system.
Interestingly FortNine's website says that the Givi PLXR5100 pannier frame is not suitable for the 2011 BMW R1200R Classic, but it fits perfectly.
The only problem with the item was that some (not all) heavy mounting bracket parts were rattling and rolling around inside the Givi factory heavy duty shrink fit, and they lost some paint so were were not perfect. That, FN and Givi, is an easy problem to fix. Please wrap all loose or small items in foam or bubble wrap.

Well engineered
Cleverly designed, the mounting tabs for these racks are very discreet when the racks are removed. I am using Kappa 33 bags on these racks and they fit perfectly. Givi states that these racks are for the 2017 and later dl1000, but I decided to try them on my 2015 and they fit perfectly. My only concern is that removing the racks from the bike requires a special tool, which I can easily imagine misplacing.
