Tool box to mount between the side-case holder and motorcycle fairing.
Note: This product must be combined with the universal fixing kit S250KIT or with specific fixing kit *TL
Features:

The S250 Tool Box should not be fitted on motorcycles where the muffler could transmit exhaust gas to the Tool Box.

IT LEAKS! DO NOT BUY! ALL MY TOOLS ARE RUSTED!
On Apr 13, 2021, I bought 2 Givi/Kappa S250 cases, one for each of my bikes. I then set out with one of them on a long journey from Toronto, where I live, to South America. I used the case as a tool box, installed exactly as directed. Very quickly water got in and all my expensive tools were wet and many parts rusted. A puddle of water was at the front of the box. In July 2022, being in Brasilia, capital of Brazil, I showed it to a GIVI rep and after analysis, he installed a new one. The second box was no different from the first. It leaked at the first rain.
I respectfully submit that this box does not measure up to what the manufacturer promises. DO NOT BUY!
The leak comes from the fact that the lid does not create sufficient pressure on the seal, especially at the top. This is a design flaw.

Sturdy and fairly lightweight
It was roughly the right size and shape for my bike and is made from what feels like a strong grade of plastic. The door has a rubber gasket and should be watertight. I mounted it to an existing rack using insulated cable clamps and M5 button-head screws. It provides decent storage volume with a lockable lid.

Handy storage
I bought 2 of these and installed them on the inside of my saddlebag racks, one on each side. It was fairly easy to make mounts using 1/8 aluminum stock from Home Depot. Wish they were a little bigger but as it is I can carry all my tools, chain lube, rags, and spares fuses, wire, tape etc and it is always there and out of the way.

Cool for tools
The box is injection molded with a generous wall thickness. Very sturdy in design with the proper polymer selection. The lock assembly is above my expectations. This is a very well designed and rugged unit. I would give 5 stars but have not been able to order the mounting kit as it is continually out of stock. Hope I haven’t bought my way into a dud!!

Glad I Bought It
I managed to make this fit onto the Givi holder /w Triumph Racks, couple minor tweaks needed.
This tool box is awesome for ALWAYS having tools /w you and no saddlebag space wasted.
I put 2 tire spoons, 1 27mm tire spoon combo wrench, 1 24mm tire spoon combo wrench AND a cruze tools triumph tool bag /w couple of added tools in.
takes some stacking and getting it just right but it ALL fits in there.

Will it fit a 2008 650 KLR? Is the mounting kit available?
No specific mounting kit for your KLR650 but the universal kit may work: S250KIT. However, note that this is designed to mount the S250 Tool Box onto specific Give side case holders PL, PLR, PL….CAM, PLR…CAM.

This toolbox uses a specific mounting kit in order to go on your vehicle.

If I want 2, one for each side of the bike, is there a left vs right version as they are shaped to follow the angle of the seat and would assume it is not just a matter of flipping it over.
I think it may depend on your specific pannier mounting geometry. On my GS, I can only mount it on the left side because on the right side the exhaust is in the way. If that is not an issue in your situation, then yes you could do a right side mount without flipping it upside down. My single unit holds over 600$ worth of tools. They are roomy. :)

No hardware comes with it
I see one can buy it seperately from givi but I found it easier and faster just to make and customize the mounting brackets with conventional hardware myself

Will the Cruz Tools B2 toolkit for BMW motorcycle fit inside this?
Yes. I have the same setup and I was able to put in the tool kit as well as a tire repair kit and CO2 mini inflator.
