Description
The GIVI V40NT Tech Monokey Top Box is one of the latest products from givi. The tech version of the V40 top case comes with smoked grey reflectors. With a capacity of 40 litres, this box can take one full face motorcycle helmet. Featuring the Monokey opening and detaching system, this box allows you to open and detach the case from the fixing plate by means of one sole key. This top box can be fitted with a GIVI E131S backrest
This box requires a specific GIVI fitting kit.

Nice topcase, roomy but not to large
The V40 (40 litres) is well-finished and features the newer Givi closing system, without the latch to fiddle with like other models. Close the lid and it snaps shut easily. I use it on my 2018 Suzuki SV650- lots of room for a trip/commuting, weekend adventures. Easy on-off. I would suggest you also consider the larger E460 model which is only about $30 more or so. The E460 sits flatter (wider & not as high as the V40) and there is noticeably more room in the older E460 model, even though it is 46 litres capacity, only 6L more than the V40. My wife has the E460 on her CTX700 & it has been great. The E460 however, has the older latch system that you have to fiddle with when closing (not a snap shut system like the V40), but you get used to it.

Perfect
Just got back from a week in Idaho and the case worked perfectly. The extra space meant that I no longer have to recycle clothes! Thanks for a great product and even better service.

Nice size and fits well on my bike
I bought this case for my 2017 VStrom 650. It fits great and works well on my bike. The case easily fits any type of helmet with room for other items.

Price is OK
Its a nice product - but: Its big, it holds 40 liters, but the lid is literally half the case, so stuff that you stack in there keeps falling out when you open it. It would be better if the lid is smaller like on the square ones so you can use more of the inside of the case. It is also always locked, you cannot remove the key with it unlocked. It would be nicer if you could leave it unlocked for access without the key.

Looks good on a 1250 Bandit
Fourth day into a multi-province/state ride and it’s perfect. Fits my xxl full face and more. Did a beer run with it too which made days end post ride SO much better. Great case

Questions
Will this hold a modular helmet (Shoei Neotech 2?)
Easily holds my Schuberth C3 so I don't see any reason it shouldn't hold the Shoei.
