Description

The Givi TankLock system for tank bags promotes the elimination of all kinds of straps, or magnetic limpets, previously used to fasten the bag to the bike. Thanks to a small ring that is installed on the tank cap, incorporated with the unique structure of the base of the bag, the bag can now be attached by simply aligning it to the ring and pressing lightly until you hear the classic "click."

Equally easy is the removal of the bag; to release it you just pull the red lever located in the base.

This is a bag that is specifically designed to match the contours of the Africa Twin. For installation, a Givi Tanklock Bike Specific Flange Type 25 is required but sold separately.

  • 1200D nylon

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Zipper Fail After making handlebar adjustments for clearance for the bag, I was initially happy with this bag. Then, as many others have stated here and on other sites, the zipper for the main compartment failed at the corner and the plastic zipper detaches from the cloth so the compartment no longe closes. With over $300 invested in tankbag and ring, it is shocking Givi hasn't acknowledged the problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size Perfect mount Perfect quality I owned many tank bags and nothing compares to this one. If you own an Africa twin don’t look any further.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really the right bag for me I bought this for a 2017 650 Vstrom. Givi told me it would not fit, but if you modify the ring slightly with a dremel it fits fantastic. Probably the best fit for this bike from the Givi lineup. (only buy this if you are OK making it fit) The only things I don't like are the side pockets and back pocket would be much more useful if they were a bit bigger. The rain jacket fits very nicely and I like the map pockets. If the zippers hold up well I expect this bag will be great. Time will tell. I also adapted a ring to some knapsack straps to make this wearable. Fits great on my back. Givi should make this as an option.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice bag, suspect zipper. Nice size bag, easy to mount and very secure. However, after less than a year the zipper has pulled out in one corner. I've returned it and am hopeful it will get patched up or replaced. Also, at full lock the handlebars bump into the bag and toot the horn which is sometimes good for a laugh, and sometimes not. One other warning - I ordered a smaller GIVI MT505 tanklock bag. It locks in place ok, but the ring is mounted at 90 degrees compared to the XS320, so the bag sits on sideways. I returned that too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect PROS: Installation took 5 minutes (for the BF-26 ring). The bag is a good size, holds a big lunch and some clothes easily, with room for more with the expansion extended. Rain cover works too. The side/front pockets could be a bit bigger imo, but still useful for wallet/keys/earplugs/etc. Map pocket is big and the extra tablet/map pocket looks useful although I have yet to try it out. The tanklock ring system is exactly what I wanted, easy to use and quick. Almost no interference with steering lock on my 18' Versys 650 (I have add-ons that touch when steering is locked, but barely). CONS: The bottom of the bag that goes down the slope of the tank is soft, so when full, the bag will touch the tank. Not a deal breaker for me as I has a tank pad, but some people might not like that. I preferred my old SW Motech for my last bike, it had a solid base that didn't touch the tank at all. Also there is a handlebar strap on the forward facing side, I guess it's for extra safety? I thought the tank ring was good enough to hold the bag securely, this strap makes me think otherwise. It's cumbersome and annoying. The whole point of tanklock is for it to be quick on, quick off. Probably going to cut off the strap eventually. Overall a great tank bag. Even with the 2 cons, it's handy and easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Bag Helps block wind on Africa Twin as well. Snaps on and off very easy. Great tank bag!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice size It fits the bike well. Holds a lot. The tank lock part was installed on the bag at 90 degrees to the correct way, so I had to remove it and reinstall which was a nuisance. The zipper for expanding or reducing the bag sticks at a certain point so I probably should have returned it. However I won't be using that zipper often so I decided not to bother.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy I had a previous semihard tank bag from Givi and loved it. I had to order this for the Africa Twin as they had to rotate the attachment and my old bag would fit on but laterally as the hardware is rotated 90 degrees. When I received the bag the washers on the inside were rusted. I contacted Fortnine and they had great customer service and gave me a return label to send bag. I was too lazy to send it back and ended up keeping it. The locking mechanism is super stiff. My old bag removed easily but this requires a lot of force. The bag is fine when you sit and is well out of the way, but if you stand and ride this bag is very much in the way. The other annoying thing is there is a strap to fit around the frame. It is very annoying to connect and disconnect. It is a large pain if you need to refuel as the bag has to be removed from the tank but the strap keep its pinned.
