If you are interested in riding in the winter and don't want to buy a dedicated winter/snow helmet, this modification for the Gmax GM11 is a great place to start. It's a bit of a pain to install the first time, as it requires more force then you'd expect to get the old "breath box" out and the new one in. Riding on my V-Strom studded for ice between 3C and -20C I have had no issues with fogging it visibility.

How do I install the breath deflector on my new GMAX Scud?
Pop off the first tabs on the cheek pads, the 2 holes on the breath guard then slot over the cheek pad tabs on the helmet, and then you pop the cheek pads back into place over the top of the breath guard.
