The Helite Roadster is a great jacket but...
Good quality leather, great protection and worth the money if you ever fall off the bike. 2 problems: Zippers are way to small. Good luck trying to zip up or down when riding. Biggest problem is sizing. I wear an extra large North Face jacket. NF jacket fits loose on me. I could squeeze into a large NF if I wanted to. I had to send the Helite Roadster jacket back twice to end up with a 4XL to get it to fit across chest and shoulders. Still to tight with 4XL to have “fist” space as Helite recommends. I checked tons of reviews that say it fits “regular”. Maybe it does for Europeans but not North Americans.

Solid jacket
I bought this jacket a few weeks ago. My goal was to have safer equipment, and this jacket delivers that. It is obviously hotter than other jackets because of the safety gear taking up room, but I expected that. Overall, I'm very satisfied with it, and would rather ride with it than have anything else, even in crazy heat. It's easier to drink a bit more and take a shower than to regrow a spine or come back from the dead. It's still expensive as well, though, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Très bon produit
J'ai acheté à l'hiver pour rouler au chaud avec un max de protection. J'ai roulé à 2 degC et avec ma veste chauffante en dessous c'était plaisant. Il est certain qu'à basse température le temps de réaction est allongé mais c'est mieux que rien.

Great quality leather, rather comfy. I wear XXL, but this one in XXL was tad too small. Got better with liner removed, but shoulder and elbow inserts now fiddle more freely in their pockets, mildly annoying.
They have changed design, now that canister is accessible via internal pocket, there is no more big panel on the outside anymore.
Not really breathing, but that's to be expected. Armpit zones are somewhat ventilated though.
All in all rather comfortable, but I'd say size up a bit.

I am interested to know in detail how the airbag system actually works. It's a powerful & unfamiliar feature but you say very little about it in your description. How is the airbag triggered to inflate? Can you describe in detail how this works?
