Description

The C10 is a competitively priced full-face helmet for riders of all ages that value quality and safety, offering a lightweight superior fit thanks in part to its Advanced Polycarbonate Composite shell that was designed using advanced CAD technology. Combined with a wide-view optically-superior face shield and its improved "ACS" Advanced Channeling Ventilation system that allows full front-to-back airflow to flush heat and humidity up and out, the C10 provides a safe and comfortable ride no matter the conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Stetson from Punches well above it’s class It’s a little noisy but I don’t have a windshield on my bike and every helmet honestly is noisy in my opinion. I installed a Cardo packtalk edge into it and it fits like it was made to be. Also purchased an RST fire red visor for it. Overall fitment is spot on with the sizing chart and overall the helmet feels quality and is quite light. If you are looking for an affordable helmet I can’t recommend it enough especially since it is a ECE 22.06 rated lid.

Do the ECE 22.05 helmets have the exact same construction as the 22.06 versions sold in Europe?

No, they do not. The ECE 22.06 standard have stricter requirements with regard to safety so the helmet construction is different.

Also wondering why this helmet is only available ece 22 06 in Europe and not the states? Is manufacturing somehow different or has it not passed ece 22.06 regulations for north America some how? Clarification would be so appreciated!

It's done to keep costs down since each 'certification' costs money to display. Since DOT is not needed in Europe, and ECE is not needed in North-America , the money saved goes into providing customers with a higher quality helmets, ensuring clients get the most for their money.

So the C10 has two separate models, one for Europe and one for North America or are they the identical helmet?

The North American versions of the the HJC C10 helmets are only DOT certified and not ECE certified. They also have a different EPS liner than the European models.
