Description
The C91 helmet will offer riders some of the best features on the market at a budget-friendly price. Starting with the Advance Polycarbonate Composite Shell. It provides a lightweight helmet with a superior fit and comfort using advanced CAD technology. The chin bar operates with an easy to use a single lever and is user friendly with gloves. It also includes an internal sun shield with a manual mechanism that moves forward and back with ease. The large top vent allows airflow ventilation throughout the deep EPS channels of the helmet, keeping you cool on rides. The SuperCool top liner and cheek pad interior gives additional cooling features with its moisture-wicking anti-bacterial fabric. The C91 is also Smart HJC ready to accept the 10B or 20B Bluetooth systems (sold separately).

Great first modular helmet
i got to try this helpmet at a motorcycle beginner riding school, and bought the same model and size, which Fortnine happened to have on sale, which was excellent deal.
this helmet is ECE rated in Europe, but only DOT in North America.
i do have another helmet, AGV K1, so i'll compare it to K1 where i think is appropriate as they are both "beginner" helmets.
Inner Material: K1 seem to have a tiny bit smoother inner pads, but could be due to this being modular, you can open it up and it's MUCH easier to put it on than full face.
Build Quality: seems pretty good. the modular mechanism moves up and down very smooth, moves down to riding position with positive clicks. visor does not have the detent for very slight opening for venting that my K1 does, but 4~ or so of detent it does have seem positive and solid.
it flexes a lot more than K1, when chin guard is open, but once it's locked in position, feels very solid.
Weight: it is pretty heavy, you can immediately tell vs K1. but once you start riding, it's not that noticeable.
Aero: turning my head at highway speed of 80km+, i can feel the wind pushing my head around. bit more than K1, but it's not that bad.
Venting, there's chin vent that's easy to operate, and forehead/top of head vent that's little more tricky to operate since it's very close to visor control, can be confusing. fully open both, and air flow is noticeable during hot day, and helps a bit, but it's not a lot.
Features: drop down visor inside is easy to operate, and is very nice to have on sunny day. it's actually not that dark, though, so if you are riding into the sun, you may need sunglasses.
there's channels already cut into the helmet for communicator install, which is very nice.
comfort: i feel this is supremely comfortable helmet. i can wear it for couple hour ride with no sore spots, neckpain or skin discomfort at all. but because the venting is moderate at best, i sweat during hot day in the helmet. it is tolerable, however.
the only downside i think this helmet has, is that it is very very loud at 70+ km/h speed.
if you have helmet communicator speaker installed, it seems to help as it reduces the air gap between helmet and your ear, but even with that and ear plugs, the noise level is unbearable for me.
AGV K1 is MUCH quieter at same speed. this being modular and has relatively large neck opening probably does not help.
overall, i think this makes a great helmet for any beginner or riding in town only type of riders.

Great helmet. Love this Modular design and style. Jaw area is a little tight but I believe this will stretch a little in time. Price was great and my Sena 50 fits into helmet set up

Fits a bit tighter than my previous HJC helmet. Really like the high vis yellow yet some drivers will never notice a motorcycle on the road.

Great fit & hi-viz!
Bought this bucket about two months ago and at first it was a little snug with my normal size, but after about a month of everyday use, it started to break in and I’m glad I didn’t go up a size. If you’re ok with snug for awhile, it will break in nicely. I have a slightly oval melon and there aren’t any hot spots after riding for a couple hours, and there’s little movement when I hold it & try to turn my head, so I’m pleased. I like the hi-viz features and the ventilation is good. Speakers fit nicely into the speaker recesses built in, and it fits easily into trunk of my scoot. A+

Great bang for the buck
I've had this helmet for a couple months now and overall it's been great. Definitely runs small, I have one size up from my regular size and it's still snug. The flip down shade is a nice feature, I've used it many times when I've encountered unexpected sun. I have the chin guard on and the ventilation is good when moving but tends to fog up at times, especially when the air is cool outside. Comm unit fits perfect inside. Definitely a great helmet for the price, and it looks great too!

Is the sizing for the C91 similar to the i10?
They use the same sizing chart when you click on the "Sizing Chart" button on each so I would wager it's a yes! Considering both are HJC its more than likely.

No it has a standard D-ring closure.
