Great first modular helmeti got to try this helpmet at a motorcycle beginner riding school, and bought the same model and size, which Fortnine happened to have on sale, which was excellent deal.
this helmet is ECE rated in Europe, but only DOT in North America.
i do have another helmet, AGV K1, so i'll compare it to K1 where i think is appropriate as they are both "beginner" helmets.
Inner Material: K1 seem to have a tiny bit smoother inner pads, but could be due to this being modular, you can open it up and it's MUCH easier to put it on than full face.
Build Quality: seems pretty good. the modular mechanism moves up and down very smooth, moves down to riding position with positive clicks. visor does not have the detent for very slight opening for venting that my K1 does, but 4~ or so of detent it does have seem positive and solid.
it flexes a lot more than K1, when chin guard is open, but once it's locked in position, feels very solid.
Weight: it is pretty heavy, you can immediately tell vs K1. but once you start riding, it's not that noticeable.
Aero: turning my head at highway speed of 80km+, i can feel the wind pushing my head around. bit more than K1, but it's not that bad.
Venting, there's chin vent that's easy to operate, and forehead/top of head vent that's little more tricky to operate since it's very close to visor control, can be confusing. fully open both, and air flow is noticeable during hot day, and helps a bit, but it's not a lot.
Features: drop down visor inside is easy to operate, and is very nice to have on sunny day. it's actually not that dark, though, so if you are riding into the sun, you may need sunglasses.
there's channels already cut into the helmet for communicator install, which is very nice.
comfort: i feel this is supremely comfortable helmet. i can wear it for couple hour ride with no sore spots, neckpain or skin discomfort at all. but because the venting is moderate at best, i sweat during hot day in the helmet. it is tolerable, however.
the only downside i think this helmet has, is that it is very very loud at 70+ km/h speed.
if you have helmet communicator speaker installed, it seems to help as it reduces the air gap between helmet and your ear, but even with that and ear plugs, the noise level is unbearable for me.
AGV K1 is MUCH quieter at same speed. this being modular and has relatively large neck opening probably does not help.
overall, i think this makes a great helmet for any beginner or riding in town only type of riders.

Not worth the moneyTerrible helmet. Once you get to highway speed the wind pushes your head around and it becomes really hard to see the road clearly from all the vibration. Fits way too tight even after following the chart size suggestions that say go a size up. The chin strap is a clip on like buttoning a jacket. The airflow is also horrible and you just sweat like crazy.

An ok purchase wouldn’t buy againToo loud when riding at high speeds. It feels like the helmet is going to rip off your head with all the wind coming through from the bottom. Fits tightly even after going a size up as suggested.

Great Budget HelmetI wanted some extra protection and as a glasses wearer a modular helmet is a lot more convenient than a full face helmet. My head shape is a narrow oval and normally I wear an extra large I ordered a 2XL as the C91 supposedly fits tight and the 2XL fits. It seemed a bit tight at first but after wearing it around the house for an hour I decided it was a keeper.
Like most modular helmets its loud but I always wear earplugs so that is not a problem. I like where the lever for the sun visor is located, it's easy to find with gloves on.

First Modular HelmetGreat helmet. Love this Modular design and style. Jaw area is a little tight but I believe this will stretch a little in time. Price was great and my Sena 50 fits into helmet set up

Hard to write a meaningful review in winter!Bought as a Christmas gift from my wife to me. Fits well, looks good but it hasn't been on a bike yet. The HJC modular that this replaced came with the pinlock anti-fog shield, disappointed the this one didn't.

The integrated drop down visor looks a bit short. Is the light that can come from under disturbing? How does it compare to the integrated visor from the HJC C70? (coverage of the field of view)

Is the sizing for the C91 similar to the i10?
Asked by: 403rider
They use the same sizing chart when you click on the "Sizing Chart" button on each so I would wager it's a yes! Considering both are HJC its more than likely.
