Nice Helmet
Bought 2 helmets for the GF and myself. Received them within 4 days of ordering. Finish was very good, especially for the price point. Fit is a little on the small size, especially around the cheeks. With the fiberglass, carbon fiber design, the helmet is quite stiff. Lots of ventilation, and the pop down sunscreen is really handy. Very good helmet for the money!

Great helmet.
A very nice helmet, especially when is on sale! I purchased one locally and payed full price. Between my gal and I, I have now purchased 3. A clean one each, for the motorcycle. And a dirty one each for the sxs!

Wearing glasses with this helmet is difficult because the brow is low forcing the glasses onto your nose. The sun visor is a nice feature but it also is low hitting the tip of your nose.

Not disappointed but !
Very comfortable. Not my Arai, but not far off either. Definitely an upgrade in internal padding from an a slightly older HJC open face helmet I own.
On the negative side 2 things. With the visor down the noise is incredible. Loud and an irritating pitch. Even with my earplugs in wasn't pleasant. Have been riding motorcycles for 30 years. Worst for noise by far. Second issue, on the good side with the visor up noise is very tolerable. In fact as good as most other helmets I have owned. On the bad side with the visor up there is a noticeable vibration induced in the helmet. Cant read a road sign until I put my hand on the visor to dampen the vibration. This could be a function of how the air rolls off of my windscreen but I am thinking not as none of my other helmets do it with my bike.
So now I will tell you what I have done. I bought another visor and I trimmed of the bottom half. Very professional looking job if I may say so myself. Accomplishes several purposes. Provides modest protection to the face(eyes). Trimmed just below the nose. Allows more still significant airflow to the face which is why I bought another open face to begin with. Noise is cut way down. Both loudness and pitch very tolerable. Vibration is reduced significantly with visor full up from where it was before I trimmed it. Still looks very good in my estimation. I also made up some "plugs" from a dense foam to block off the fresh air inlets on the front of the helmet. When I did this the noise was almost totally gone. Downside is a greatly reduced airflow through the helmet which is one of its selling features. They are easy to remove so I keep them around. When they are installed they are highly unnoticeable in the helmet. Have the other full visor in my side bag in case I need a little more protection from the elements, but have not had to install it yet

Good economical open face
My first HJC purchase and seems like it's well constructed, well thought out design for an economical open face helmet.
Bought a large, im always a large in Shoei, but the HJC was extremely tight and seems to be designed for a narrow face.

Great hot day helmet
Fits well. Could be a little quieter, however with earplugs it's fine. After all it is an open helmet.

is cheek pad removable for other sizes? if so, do you carry different sizes for the pads?
