Description
The HJC i90 Modular Helmet is a simple touring helmet with a polycarbonate shell, air-flow ventilation system and an internal sun visor. Its SuperCool moisture wicking liner system keeps you comfortable on long rides. A special groove along the temples accommodates glasses so you can see clearly even if you don't have 20/20 vision.

Great value modular!
I was in the market for a modular helmet that was affordable and fit my big head. Very happy with the I90! The price to performance is almost unmatched when it comes to Modulars in the sub $500 range.
Very comfortable, airflow feels good, has a quality feel to it. Not the quietest helmet but for the price, definitely happy.
Comes with the pinlock ready visor but no pinlock, but I guess that's how they helped keep the price so low.
Add a Pinlock lense and it's an awesome helmet. Even added the HJC Sena 10b to mine, totally worth the money. Love how the helmet has the channels all ready for the Sena unit and that the battery portion has a pocket at the rear of the helmet. Truly a great design.
It does fit a little small considering I had to get the 5XL and it was still almost borderline tight, something to keep in mind if you have a big head.

Quiet - Low wind noise
I tend to own a helmet way too long but my latest purchase was a home run for me. The HJC i90 fit is awesome. My head is not a perfect circle, so a nice fit is hard to find. I tried 3 other helmets before settling on this one. I also use a Communication unit and get more wind noise from my friends speaking than I do in my own HJC i90 helmet. This is also my first modular helmet and my first HJC. It will not be my last. My only complaint is ... it makes my head look big ... lol. I think the shell is a little bigger but it allows for more headroom and sound damping perhaps. My only fear is the i90 will not be available in 5 years for my next purchase!

Great but with a design flaw
Excellent design and quiet. Fits well and cheek pads can be changed out for different sizes. Has one design flaw though. The new strap system removes the usual rings so there is no way to lock this onto your motorcycle.

Sized small.
Bought a medium to replace the HJC medium that my girlfriend had. No problem I thought same manufacturer should be the same size? Wrong! Returned helmet, Fortnine very good customer service. Fortunately found a much better colour scheme than was available on this site for the same price, had to get a size large for it to fit her properly. She's always had a medium sized fit before?
Very impressed with the helmet so far, HJC helmets have come a long way.

Although I have only been out on one ride the seven hours I spent in the saddle were great. Less wind noise then other helmets I’ve had. The internal visor works well.

Great modular helmet
First helmet I bought as a first time rider.
Great fit with the option to add Bluetooth. My only complaint is the venting. I notice zero change in circulation when I open and close the vents.

It’s a good helmet love the sun vision but it is quite noisy at higher speeds if you don’t have headphones in other than that it’s a good starter helmet.

I've had this helmet for over a year now. It was too tight in the cheeks at first, even though my head is not very round, but it fits well after it's broken in. It's a bit heavy, but that's to be expected for a modular helmet. The visor works well and has tabs on both the left and right. The vents work well. Raising and lowering the chin bar is easy to do.
My only real gripes with this helmet are related to wind noise. The tinted visor actuator on the left side of the helmet lets in a huge amount of wind noise. My left ear probably experiences 10+ dB higher noise levels than my right ear. I've had to tape it up, rendering the visor useless. The other issue is that there is no padding in the back neck area, in order to give access to the hands-free mounting plate. This allows air to flow through the back of the helmet and adds a lot of wind noise. With extra padding taped around the back of the neck area, the visor actuator taped up, and wearing a neck warmer to help seal everything up, the noise levels are pretty good.

how does the fit of this compare with the IS Max 2?
Both helmets weigh around 3.8 lbs. Based on other customer reviews, they are both quite comfortable. The HJC i90 Solid is quieter and runs small. The HJC IS Max 2 helmet is a little louder and fits true to size.
