Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Helmet at Affordable Price Shoei helmets (full face and modular) have been my helmets of choice, both on the road and the racetrack for over 40 years. For a long time, I considered the HJC line of helmets a poor second cousin, but not any more. I switched to HJC about 5 years ago because Shoei has priced itself out of my budget. As with Shoei, the HJC configuration accommodates a long, narrow face with a strong chin (that’s me). And it is very comfortable and light. I typically wear a large size, and the HJC Bina was a bit tight at first, but after a few rides, has molded perfectly to my head. I choose white or hi-viz helmets for visibility and due to job requirements. The Bina complements my hi-viz jacket and gloves nicely. The Bina also comes with a built-in com system which is sold separately. I purchased the system to replace my 15 year-old Scala Rider com. It is easy to use and produces excellent sound quality. The total price of both helmet and com system was still a far better bargain than Shoei; in my view the HJC Bina is just as good build quality. The only downside, which reflects my very personal preference, is the quick release chin strap. The system does not allow the user to secure the helmet onto a bike’s helmet lock. Personally I prefer the metal D-ring found on other helmets. Mind you, a minor detail, especially that I am now a HJC convert.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helmet looks great, may run a little large. I bought 2 of these helmets and a 2 pack of Cardo Packtalk Edge. Everything came impressively fast, I did 2 separate orders and both arrived in BC within 3 business days, awesome! Now for the bad news. My Wife and I had HJC i10 helmets and wanted to upgrade. We ordered the same sizes, medium for her and 2XL for me. The i91 was a much looser fit. My wife's medium seems to work out OK, but my 2XL is way too big for me. Hers fits just snug enough, while mine was moving around on my head even with the chin strap adjusted and the chin bar closed. Good news though, Fortnine makes retuns super easy. I tried it on, fit was too loose, start return, print label, tape up box and send back. I ordered an XL and I should (hopefully) see a credit on my Visa before my statement is due. Great helmet, may run a bit big for some folks. Fast shipping and great service as always from Fortnine.
