Description
The RPHA 91 is HJC's modular touring helmet that was engineered for all-day comfort. The new Premium Integrated Matrix EVO shell (P.I.M. EVO) provides enhanced shock-resistant performance and is lightweight by using reinforcement materials that include carbon-aramid, carbon fiber, glass fiber, organic non-woven fabric, and linen fiber (natural fiber). The distortion-free, HJ-37 face shield and HJ-V17 sun shield provide a clear and increased peripheral view for the rider. Designed to perfection, the chin bar locking system now has a hidden closure point that allows for smooth contact and less pressure on the cheek area. The RPHA 91's 3D-engineered low-noise interior and neck roll system reduces road noise significantly.

RPHA 91
Nice helmet to replace my Scorpion T520 which was way too noisy. A bit noisier than expected following all the reviews I had read, but a big improvement overall. Excellent venting. Comfortable liner. Great sun visor. The green colour is a bit pale though, as I was expecting a darker green as per the website photos. 8/10 rating.

Super quiet lid
Extremely quiet helmet which was the deciding factor for my purchase. Had to form the front part as there was a pressure point in my forehead area. Worked the inside with my knuckles and that seemed to help. Just waiting on the smart sound system.

Terrific helmet!
Very comfortable fit and its aerodynamics gives it much less physical drag than my old helmet (especially when turning my head to shoulder check at speed) which also makes it significantly quieter when it comes to wind noise too. No complaints what-so-ever.

Great helmet.
Solid white with 2nd blue tinted visor. Bought it due to high rating for noise reduction, visibilty, weight, comfort, and partially due to owning an HJC in the past. Considered also Shoei Neotec 3, Schuberth C5. Visibility - Both visors offer wide view angle, both clear and tinted are distortion free; helmet does come with a pinlock which is useful on colder days (installed on original clear visor). Noise - switching from Nolan N-100 can't say it is significantly quieter at highway speeds, but at lower speeds seems to be; earplugs make the biggest difference (I do have a cardo comm installed on Nolan, which does create a lot of noise, using a built in comm system was also one of the reasons to look at a new helmet). Comfort - very comfy helmet, but a prolonged riding with prescription glasses causes some discomfort eventually (>4hr). Helmet comes with built in sunvisor, its operation and adjustment (for drop height) is simple and works flawlessly, it is distortion free. Using built in visor with tinted visor works great on sunny days, I don't recommend tinted visor for night riding. It is lighter than Nolan. CHin lock/release mechanism simple to use, closing chin bar really 'pulls' helmet tight. The minor complain is micro ratchet straps length; both ends seem to be a little too long and to keep the helmet snug but not chocking myself I found I only use 1st or 2nd notch (yes, one end can be shortened, but even after doing so I found it too long). Ventilation - rode on hot days (>30deg C) and cooler (<10deg C), vents work very well, especially the one on top. Can't comment on protection, knock on wood, hopefully it'll do its job. Plan to purchase HJC branded com unit, will update this review or review separately.

Questions
What is the difference between the solid and the blat helmet? Is blat just the graphics?
Is this helmet designed to accommodate prescription glasses?
I don't know if it is designed specifically for glasses but I wear glasses without issue; very comfortable. This is by far the quietest and most comfortable helmet I've owned. It has a slightly smaller field of vision compared to other helmets but that's something I got used to in a few rides. Highly recommend this helmet.
