Pretty good, but a few small quirksOverall I'd say this is a great buy and I'm happy with it. I like how well it integrates with the HJC helmet and the fact that the battery pack is in the back makes this last longer (probably?) than other types of communicators that are not integrated this way. However, there are a few quirks to be aware of:
Firstly, the controls are needlessly complicated. Since it supports many functions like intercom, music, phone but only has three buttons it is incredibly confusing to use which is awful when you're trying to concentrate on driving. Like... you hold the middle button for 3 sec to get to Siri but if you hold it a bit longer it does something else. You double tap to do this, but triple tap to do something else - it's just a lot to remember. I'm hoping I'll memorize it better over time but right now I'm just resigned to just rely entirely on Siri for everything because using the buttons is too confusing.
Secondly, it does not report battery level via bluetooth to your phone so the only way to check the battery level is via the communicator itself which you can do two ways and both of them suck. One is you can turn it off, turn it on, and try to count how many times it blinks when it starts (wuuuuuuuuuuut) or alternatively you can go through a bunch of the complicated button menus until you can get the communicator to vocally announce the battery but it's not even in percent but just "HIGH" or "LOW" basically which is just frustrating.
Thirdly, the buttons themselves are pretty small and with gloves on it's hard to even tell if you're on the left, middle, or right button with your finger. I wish it was just one big button and had more voice interaction rather than a bunch of complicated menus.

Hard to operateAs with any Sean product the quality is great. It is however incredibly difficult to operate the buttons with gloves on. The little buttons are very difficult to find unless you have gloves off or use fingerless gloves. I bought this to fit the HJC helmet but am now questioning both purchases because of this difficulty.

I got this to go along with another SENA I had from another helmet that I then put into my wife's so we could at least communicate with each other when out riding.
Very good sound quality and it made it so much easier than trying to yell at each other through our helmet or do hand signals. LOL. Once synced up no issues at all.

Pure Unadulterated GarbageUnless you want to only listen to music, avoid this steaming pile of suck.
I have wasted hours getting this to connect to my girlfriends 50S via the +Mesh adapter. Absolute no go. Will not work. Does not work. Sena documentation is atrocious. For a claim that the +mesh will connect to ANY Sena headset, this falls short. This is not a communication tool.
OK audio quality on the bluetooth music side but hardly worth the aggravation of a complicated setup.
Just go with Cardo or tin cans and a red string...both are superior to this crap.

Firmware will not upgrade, says not recognized.Just bought this unit for my partner and had to upgrade the firmware in my SRL 1 as a result because they wouldn’t pair. Once I upgraded I could pair them however I have to initiate the intercom, the HJC unit won’t work for this. The firmware may need to be upgraded on it but the unit is NOT recognized…This unit is not recommended due to the inability to perform as advertised AND inability to update. Brand new and unacceptable. I see why so many are moving over to Cardo…
Smarten up Sena, your customers are leaving due to this kind of ineptitude. Should be plug and play, not take hours of research and still result in product failure…

Will that device fit on a i70 helmet?
Asked by: Stef
No it is not designed for the i70 helmet. You should be able to install a standard Sena or Cardo unit on the helmet though.

If I wanted to pair this unit with my wife’s Bell Helmet what product would you recommend We purchase for the Bell Helmet ? I have an HJC i30 and my wife has a Bell open face helmet.
Asked by: Half ton
Any product by Sena will be a good match for the 10B, just make sure it has a Bluetooth setting as opposed to being mesh only.
This is a good one for what you're after:

However the HJC Smart 10B will also work.
