RST Silver reflective coating wears off too easily
The RST silver reflective coating wears off too easily. The wear seen on the picture is only after one and a half month of regular use and occasionally being wiped with a clean microfiber cloth. The shield is slowly turning into a regular clear shield. I own an Icon Airflite RST Bronze shield that does not have this problem so it is either a problem specific to RST Silver or to this specific production batch

Reflective coating is so thin that riding in light rain will remove the coating.

Poor finish
The outer silver/reflective finish will remove itself very easily. Whether it be scratches or especially if it gets wet. Considering this is a piece of equipment meant for outdoor use, it holds up very poorly to outdoor conditions. Very disappointing to pay $75 + tax for a visor that has the durability of a $10 piece.

Great so far
My last face shield needed to be replaced because it didn't last as long as my first one (another brand) did. That being said, this new one I got is only my third, and I feel it is still way too early to tell how well it's doing. I have been more careful cleaning it with this one, and I've only had 3 or so rides with it on so far since the weather has started being better. My first face shield was phenomenal. I hope this one turns out to be as good.

Beautiful, but shows wear easily
RST Silver Shield. I bought this and was immediately in love with the look of it. I'm a person who takes great care of things, and keep my helmet in the protective soft bag it came in. Even with taking precautions, the shield almost immediately showed wear/micro scratching. This just continued and got worse. The silver coating is crap, and has zero durability. That said, it looked incredible when I first got it, and I'll probably buy it again when this one has worn off.

Very satisfied
I bought it last week and went for a 4 hours ride and wore it the entire ride didnt need to lift it during or change it up, BTW it is very easy to swap the stock and this one

What's the difference between the Icon Airflite helmet "Pinlock-Ready" shield and the regular one?
The pinlock ready visor allows you to add a pinlock insert to the shield. The Pinlock visor insert is the most effective, durable and affordable anti-fog solution on the market. The pinlock insert can be found under item #668237
