Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Helmet Got the Pleasure Dome 2 cause I wanted a helmet that stood out and attracted attention when I'm riding. (If you notice me, you know I'm there, and if I stand out, you'll be looking for me more) Inner liner is very comfortable and snug. Took about 2 weeks to start to break in where I don't feel like an army of Italian grandmothers are attacking my cheeks. (It's not too bad, just a lil squishy at first). The Anodized clasps look very good; and in regards to the chin curtain...I took out my cheek liners, and put the chin curtain in, then secured the cheek liners to hold it in place. Otherwise I guarantee like everyone else, that curtain would have been lost in a week or less. This way, It'll never come out unless I deliberately take it out. So Icon needs to fix that; either make it integral or have it clip in somehow securely. The graphics themselves are amazing in detail. Very clean lines, doesn't look muddy or pixilated up close. The finish of the helmet in general is top notch. Fantastic airflow, haven't got a super sweaty head from this helmet, she breaths real good with all the vents open. With all of them closed in cold weather I only get fogging up when I'm stopped at lights. After 5-10 seconds of riding it goes away though. Kinda wish it came with a pinlock but so far not a huge issue. My other gripe is I much prefer the centre lock like HJC has on their helmets. Wearing heavier gloves it can be a real pain to try to open it when you're slow moving in traffic. (That's my fault for wearing big gloves and riding in cold weather though!) On the highway with no windshield I have zero buffeting with this helmet. It's incredibly stable, and I don't get head whip when shoulder checking either. Hilariously the faster you go the more stable it becomes. Visibility is fantastic, you can see everything. What else is there to say?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sooooooo cool This helmet is AMAZING. Everyone who has seen it loves it. Fits great, feels good on the bike. But c'mon, anyone who buys this does it because of the wild graphics. Got the gold icon shield to go with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Performance for $ without much sacrifice Bought this past fall and have had several rides this year plus two trackdays with it. I have the first generation of the Airframe, and the Pro one fits more snug than the first gen. Personally I don't notice the helmet much even though it is a tighter fit. Field of view is fantastic, and needed for the track. Ventilation is great, and yes you do sacrifice quietness for airflow. The curve at the back of the helmet does really help with getting in a full tuck and keeping from interfering with the hump on your suit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a little damage I just open the box and found this damage on the chin. It look like glue splitted with the rubber. And the painting fall off. My SHOEI is size "L", but I Wear icon in size "XL" Good Black Friday deal

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great look..but I was hoping the helmet would be quieter. The wind noise in this helmet is significant compared to previous Shoei/Arai helmets. I ride daily to work on the 401 and after about 3 seasons I've had enough. Although for the price its a good helmet as long as you don't ride on the highway daily. But the graphics are amazing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too expensive for such poor quality The ventilation trap has tear when I opened my window has a light. Have seen a lot of default in carbon fiber. I had to glue the pro chin curtain

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good mid-grade helmet Had my Airframe Pro for a couple of months now and I'm very pleased with it so far. Nice upgrade from my HJC CL-17 and fits my long oval head a lot better. Quiet helmet as long as you keep the vents closed; open the vents and it gets a lot louder, but it does flow lots of air, so there's the trade off. Hole on pin visor lock looks cheap and cheesy, but works well and is easy enough to operate with a gloved hand; more so than some of the fancier latching systems. White one is devoid of all graphics, others are OTT, would be nice to have a "restrained graphics" option. A little tight to get glasses on, but OK once they're in there. Liner has a nice feel to it and the helmet has a general feel of quality about it. Marketing has lots of hype about agressive riding styles and sculpted neck lines etc. but I use it for sport touring and it works just fine. I have noticed less neck strain on longer runs, maybe due to reduced weight or better aerodynamics; probably a bit of both. Overall I'm very pleased with the helmet and I'd say it's a good solid buy in the mid-range helmet segment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is my second Airframe Pro, loved my first one Needed to replace my helmet (also a airframe pro) after trying a Bell and an LS2 I came back to the Airframe Pro. I'm a legit "long oval" shape so my selections are limited to the Arai, LS2, AGV and Icon line. For track use its ECE rated and has great vision in the tucked position (not as much as the LS2) . This helmet I went one size up to an XL replacing my L size and found it more comfortable. The cheek pads are tight for sure but nothing wetting them and hitting them with a hot iron didn't fix by compressing them about 2 mm. Receiving the extra smoked shield was a bonus also. The chin foil I glued into place on my old Icon as it easily falls out and almost lost it on a couple of occasions so I advise doing this 1st thing. The graphics on the Warbird are loud but i figured it was time for something wilder then basic black. Noise i don't find anymore or less then other fullface brands Ive worn but i also ride with a Scala streaming music from my phone so its not as bothersome. Last but not least this helmet is light by most standards when regarding ECE/Snell helmets.

Hi, Does this run a little smaller or larger than the Alliance and Armada models (which I find I am in between the small and medium)? Thanks!

Asked by: Aaron
I'm almost always a small in most helmets and was a medium in Alliance helmet I owned. I am a large in this helmet so it definitely runs a bit smaller

Any of you check the date tag on the inside of your helmet? I just purchased one and received it yesterday (Feb 2018) and its already almost 3 years old. Manf. 08 / 2015

Asked by: ddnova
I also bought an icon helmet a few years ago that was price reduced and the manufacture date was older as well. The manufacture date does matter if you want to wear your helmet on the track as they supposedly check dates.
