Icon D3O Viper 1 Back Protector Item # 138839

Description
D3O® impact protectors are made from an advanced patented polymer. D3O® impact protectors utilize intelligent molecules that lock together on impact. Because of this, the impact protector can be made thinner and lighter, making a jacket more comfortable and easier to wear. However, this decreased size does not come at the expense of impact protection.

Great quality product for the price.
Was looking for a back protector after buying a Dainese mesh jacket, this protector cost 1/3 of the price of Daines's and fited just fine!

Comfortable back pad
This is a comfortable, flexible, breathable back protector. The ventilation holes are not entirely perforated and a little surgery is required to clear them.

ICON D30 Protection
Purchased the complete set of ICON D30 armour, including elbow, shoulder and knee pads to replace the Knox armour in my Triumph H2O Sport leathers. The D30 pads fit the original pockets and provide a more comfortable less restrictive fit than the hard Knox protectors. Fortunately, I cannot speak to their impact absorption .

Flimsy
This came with my icon jacket, and when i pulled it out felt very thin and flimsy. I personally feel like i have no protection wearing it. But its CE level 1 so that has to mean something.

Comfortable
I bought this to replace the thin foam pad in my Alpinestars jacket. It is heavier, as expected, but fits just fine and feels comfortable. I hope that I won't find out how well it protects me, but it has to better than foam.

Nice armour
I actually bought this to go into the back pocket of my BMG adventure jacket. Fits great and isn't obtrusive or uncomfortable.

Very comfortable, good price
Ordered this for my new Icon Overlord jacket that came with incredibly poor back protection (no idea why they have CE rated armour in shoulder and elbow, but foam in the back...). Fits great in the back pocket, doesn't slip around on you, and is actually comfortable on your back. That being said, I haven't taken a spill with this armour, so I can't speak to its protective qualities. ASSUMING it protects just as well as any other CE rated armour, it is absolutely more comfortable and cheaper than other stiffer, bulkier back protectors that I have used.
