Breathable and bendable
It is breathable and flexible but wants to return to its straight shape and you can feel that when riding. This product would get a 5 star review if it was precurved for the riding position. It feels like good protection.

Good Product
I replaced the D30 that came in my of new KLIM Latitude, APEX & Induction Pro jackets & Lattitude pants. The Icon brand is exactly the same as the KLIM D30 armor, but less money.
Some of my KLIM gear had CE Level 2 but it was not as thick or smaller in size than this product, except the back protector in my APEX jacket. The Latitude jacket had CE Level 1 back armor, which I upgraded with the Icon CE Level 2 armor. It is thicker and at first, feels a little bulky, but after awhile you do not notice. In the APEX jacket the shoulders pads were CE Level 2, but KLIM made them smaller and thinner than the Icon D30 shoulder pads, so I upgraded that too. Same with the Induction Pro mesh jacket. In the mesh jacket I used the Forcefield Pro Lite K Back Insert, it flows more air than the D30 and is CE Level 2.

They worked!
I got these pads to use in my Klim Dakar pants. They fit perfectly, but more importantly, they provided good protection in a low speed crash on the trail. Solid construction, moderate airflow, good impact absorption.

Nice Lighter Upgrade
Upgraded the armour in my older Icon leather/mesh pants. The D30 is noticeably lighter and thinner than the original armour. I assume that they're better in a "rider down" situation but I hope I'll always just be able to make that assumption and not actually find out. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade!

I bought these awhile ago to replace the armour that came with the riding pants. This armour is lighter and more flexible! Love it!

Do these have velcro on them to attach to pants with adjustable knee armour pockets like the Klim Outriders?

any reason not to just use adhesive Velcro to stick this inside my leathers? Any advice or anything to keep in mind if I do?
No real reason not to, however due to the number of holes through the armor it may not stick as well as it would on a more filled in piece of armor like the older D3O T5 Evo/X/Pro lines. Also that may affect breathability by blocking some of the holes in it if that is important to you.
