If you ride long enough, it's going to involve some unfortunate asphalt encounters. For those times, while life takes us to the mat, we offer the Field Armor 3™ Elbow. Vented bio-foam and air mesh chassis are paired to an articulating injection molded shell with airflow channels, so comfortable it's easy to forget you're wearing them at all. Low profile, the design fits under most jackets while the stretch adjustment strap keeps the protector securely in place. Internally, the D3O® impact protectors help reduce transmitted impact energy. Well worth the investment.
They were out of my usual medium size so I ordered large, for summer riding. I'm 180lbs, 5'11", and they fit perfectly. They stay in place with minor adjustments on longer rides, but par for the course, most gear needs to be adjusted occasionally. Haven't had to test them for their intended purpose and hopefully never will, but if I do end up taking a slide, the peace of mind is there that my arms will be safe! I also wear the icon vest under my jacket, icon everything from boots to helmet and gloves. About the price, I'll leave you with this. If you have a $10 head, then by all means wear a $10 helmet. My responsibility to my daughter and family forbid me from doing so, so here we are!

Rather small
I hoped it could be worn over the jacket, but no way it will fit over the sleeves. I wear Helite Roadster, and wanted to protect not only my elbows, but also expensive jacket, but alas, these pads go under it.
I always considered my arms to be small, but L\XL size fits on the edge of being tad too tight. Upper loop need to be closed rather tight, otherwise velcro hook part will scratch the skin.
Other than that, it appears to be comfortable and well-protected. I also installed Level2 D30 pads inside, and it didn't add too much bulk.

Happy with them!
I really like the option of having my armour separate from my clothing/jacket so that I can really stay comfortable on hot days while still being protected. These are definitely comfortable, and provide protection in a much needed area...however I do question whether they will truly stay in place if I lay my bike down at any speed. The single point of adjustment in a velcro strap seems a bit finicky to me...no matter how I adjust them, they migrate so that they sit in my elbow crease doing virtually nothing. I am relying on the lycra sleeve wrapped around my forearms to keep these things in place, and although it's snug, they will definitely shift around pretty easily. Either way, I think they're about as stable and useful as the forearm/elbow armour you typically find in a jacket, so I'm not too worried about it. Pair this with a good set of gloves, and a spine/chest protector, and your upper body is way more protected than the average rider.
