A poor update to a great bootI bought the Icon Superduty 4 boots in black. They are still working hard - steel shank, proper protection toe and ankle, a great slip-resistant sole. Yes, they looked like work boots, but they are warm, pretty waterproof once treated, and are great motorcycle boots that you can wear around off the bike as well.
Then icon decides they need an upgrade (fine) and puts in fewer features (especially the shank) in order to have something that looks more like a high-top running shoe. These are nothing like the Icon Superduty 4 which were so highly rated by RyanF9. Lightduty maybe - if you want good protection and excellent build quality, try and find a SD 4 or look at something else.

Looks good but poor qualityHad these for one driving season which was about 30 or so rides and these boots are already falling apart, the laces frayed and brook on one boot (I've had other shoes over 10 years still on initial laces but these broke after wearing them 30 times). The lace loops are also pulling loose. For the price they shouldn't be this bad after 30 wears. The do look nice but if they don't last a real waste of money.

Comfy, but they didn't last longMy girlfriend bought these for me as a birthday present and I was super excited that she nailed the fit, so that's a big plus. They're comfy, and the D3O offers a questionable level of protection, but I feel relatively safe in them and definitely enjoy commuting in them more than my motocross boots. However, toe protection is again questionable.
That said, after 3 months they started falling apart. The laces broke the first week I owned them but that's pretty normal for any boot/shoe with aggressive velcro on the straps and the cheapest laces money can buy. Speaking of aggressive velcro, the pull straps tore off from the velcro's adhesive. It's like Icon didn't even try to make these durable. Adhesive? Really? You're better than this.
As for the history of these shoes: no crashes, no rain, commuting some of the week.

Not durableBought these at the beginning of the season last year, I do ride a lot (20,000kms per year) but only ever wear these and my full gear when I’m going on a big ride, I wear lighter gear when commuting to and from work when there isn’t snow! After approximately 4 months of use, my shifter has worn through the shoe to the point where it hurts to shift and feels like I may as well be wearing flip flops. Because I’m cheap I’m going to take them to a local shoe repairman and see what he can do with them as I don’t have an extra $180 to replace them every year. They are comfortable enough and you can easily walk around in them but they are definitely not durable and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone, which sucks because I always felt Icon was great value for money but they definitely fell short on these shoes!

So far, so goodBought these in the early winter, haven't been wearing them much, just around the house a bit.
Fit a little smaller than size indicates (maybe half a size).
They don't bite into any tender parts, wear as well as you'd expect,.
Look pretty decent for off bike, annnnnd the shift patch is reflected on the right foot as well if symmetry is important.

Falling apartI've had these boots for about a month now. When I received them the lace on the left boot was WAY too long. I've had to sew the velcro in place on both straps. The lace loop on the tongue of the right boot has torn off. The stitching around the toe on both boots has started to come undone. Not great workmanship. Warm and comfortable though...
