Reworked and redesigned, the Variant Pro™ Carbon is lighter and more compact than its predecessor. Through ICON's proprietary molding technology, the hand-laid 4Tress™ carbon is strategically placed throughout the shell to ensure structural integrity without adding weight. The fog-free 3D-molded shield provides optical clarity across its oversized eye-port. It increases peripheral vision, and the visor has been designed to block the sun while reducing lift at speed. To improve comfort, the 5-piece sweat-wicking HydraDry™ liner works in conjunction with the vents to help reduce heat build-up. Innovative design and timeless styling, the Variant Pro™ Carbon is the ultimate crossover helmet.
Exterior
The wind tunnel-refined shell, executed in a Fiberglass/Dyneema/Carbon matrix, forms a solid first line of defense. The Variant Pro's signature visor system not only looks aggressive, it contributes to improved vision by helping block out bright sunlight while producing minimal lift characteristics.
Shield
The fog-free Variant Pro™ shield, coupled with a reshaped eyeport, increases peripheral vision and and produces an unmatched distortion free line of sight so you can keep your eyes on the prize.
Interior
The five-piece sweat wicking Hydradry™ liner provides a greater amount of fitment combinations for each unique head shape. Crown, later, fore and aft padding components allow for a possibility of 27 combinations in a single shell; double that of the Variant Pro's competitors.

Not impressedthe helmet is nice but the clear visor if you take off is a cheap design. Followed the steps in the manual, and it cracked trying to pop it off. I looked up online, and seen other people had the same issue. So phoned Fort Nine and explained what happened. But they said it was my fault and nothing they could do. So i phoned icon, and they were alot better to deal with, sent my a new one with no issues. Not impressed with fort nine customer service. They should back there products up that they sell. Will be buying elsewhere from now on.

Nice helmetBought this helmet after a head impact with my original Icon Variant and have about 25h use with the new one. The Variant Pro has good airflow, great comfort and a sleek design. It fits tight at first but it will break in after some time. Only reason it’s not 5 stars for me is because the wind noise is a bit loud for a $500+ helmet. Will buy again when the time comes.

Colour is offBought this as it said Black, looked grey in pictures which I was ok with. I received the helmet and it looks almost green.

Best Fitting HelmetI just got this helmet today. Its so light compared to my previous one. It fits so snuggly, very quiet incomparrison too. One problem that might be a big one, I operated the head vent switch on the right side upwards, and it blew right off. No replacment parts I can find online.
Just was wondering if you have to size up or get normal size you are as in bell I’m a medium but had a airflite and had to go with a large just was wondering if I would have to go with a large like I had to the air flite?

The helmet does run a little small so like the Airflite, you may need to size up in this helmet too.

Will my current Variant Etched shields fit the new Variant Pro ?

The variant and variant pro shields are both different and will not work with the alternate helmet.

No, the helmets use different shields so the insert is different too.
