Good amount of storage. Straps broke
I took these to Ecuador for a 2 week trip there. My main issues is that several of the straps broke off towards the end of the trip. To be fair, the riding was pretty hard and many of the roads very rough. On the plus side, the bags have lots of space and have rain covers. I think if you only do asphalt, these are probably fine.

Terrible quality. Not durable.
I bought these saddlebags a few months back for my Yamaha fz6 for camping trips. On my first trip up the Eastern Shore of NS the bags started showing noticeable wear. The seems tearing and the stitching becoming undone. The bags are not made for durability. Do not even bother expanding them as they cannot take the weight when full. The stitching is awful and not reinforced. I have faired better wth the 20$ canvas saddle bags I bought on amazon when travelling through half of Australia. These are trash.

I went and grabbed one from our warehouse to measure; 18 inches in length, 10.5 inches tall and 6 inches wide. The side pocket adds an extra 2 inches to the width.

Do I need to buy a metal rack to mount these bags. I worry about the bags rubbing on back tire.
Will a 14" x 9" laptop fit in these bags? I see the dimensions listed above, but these bags are irregularly shaped. They may not be 10.5" long for the full 14" of length that would be required. Could someone please check with an actual laptop?
Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not have this information. However, they, pulled out a laptop that measures 13 inches by 8.5 inches and it fits into the bag. Your laptop is a little bigger and the fit would be a little tighter.
