Description
The Pacifica™ women’s motorcycle jacket from Joe Rocket Canada is constructed with a 100% waterproof, breathable, Rock Tex™ 900 Outer Shell with 4 way stretch. In addition, the jacket comes with a removable insulated, quilted vest liner, allowing for multi-season use and is fully equipped with removable Vault™ CE approved armour for the shoulders, elbows and spine.

Versatile piece with some flaws
I have 10,000km on this Joe Rocket Pacifica jacket, including a ride from Ottawa to Vancouver.
The good:
- The shape is quite flattering and feminine, especially with the side zips at the waist undone, giving me a deceptively flattering hip:waist ratio. Meow.
- The stretch is awesome. I ride at near freezing temps regularly, and I’ve layered a merino base, heated vest, and big down puffy under this thing. I also layer a Goretex shell over top in freezing temps or rain.
- It’s extremely versatile. The venting is sufficient for me with just a t shirt under on +30C summer days. I wouldn’t say I’m comfortable in stop and go traffic at that temperature, but literally nothing is comfortable at that temp. And with regular old layers you already own, this can get you through cold temps too.
The bad:
- The included spine protector is foam. It sucks to pack and feels like cardboard to wear. Swap it for one of those rubbery jobs instead for better protection and ease of use.
- The seal of the zippers on the main pockets started delaminating after only a few months of use. Booooo.
- This will survive a light rain shower, but I’ve been caught a few times in downpours and the jacket wets through quickly, soaking my base layers. This “waterproof” jacket definitely requires carrying an additional rain shell.
Verdict: Great, versatile, flattering jacket. When I bought this, I only paid around $200. It’s worth it at that price, but look elsewhere if it’s full price.

Super manteau pour femme aux hanches larges
J’ai les hanches larges. Impossible de m’habiller avec un manteau de moto européen, ils sont toujours trop étroits. Celui-ci est fait pour les femmes nord-américaines. Celles qui aiment des manteaux féminins. Le col par contre est très raide. J’attends qu’il se détente.

Excellent Jacket at an Amazing Price
Although I was a bit hesitant to purchase a jacket online without being able to try it on first, we went for it anyway as we couldn't find a single armoured bike jacket in the stores for less than $400. This jacket is awesome! It has so many great features such as the thumb hole in the sleeves, reflective trim, zippered underarm vents, fully armoured, warm in cold weather and cool in warm weather and plus, it looks fantastic! The shoulders were a bit large for me, but I'm used to that as I have a larger chest so tend to have to order up a size. Great shipping time and smooth ordering process. Will buy again from here without a doubt.

Great jacket
I got this jacket in March and have worn it several times now. It is well made and has great features such as the vents and the hood that easily comes off. The extra coverage over your hands from the sleeves fits really well over gloves and makes sure no wind gets up. Great looking and fitting jacket.

Perfect daily jacket
Works great in all weathers. Haven't ridden in rain but I'm sure it's fine. Awesome part is that people don't know it's a riding jacket. Only drawback is the purple stitch. I understand it's for women but plain black is fine. There is no need for purple stitch.

The Wife Loves her new Jacket!
My wife didn't want the "traditional" motorcycle jacket. This has everything she wanted including a hood. Though we haven't yet tested it out on a cool Calgary morning or a Spring shower yet...she's looking forward to doing even more riding than we did last year! Thank you Joe Rocket and Thank you Canada's Motorcycle Superstore.
Sorry the review: well made, does come with some protection in the back and arms, stitching looks great, there is reflective piping on the arms and back.
Jacket also fits true to size.

Provided measurements are waaay undersized
Jacket would have been great. I ordered size M (my usual size) and a L. I could barely zip up the size large.
Medium should have fit based on measurements. My Indian motorcycle jacket is size M. I would be an XL or XXL in this line. Which is ok, I don’t care what the tag says, but I ordered based on measurements and a size up.

Comfortable and looks good.
I’ve worn it a few times already this spring. I don’t snap the neck buckle closed at the top as I don’t like it poking my neck but very comfortable beyond that. I like the fit.

Questions
For the plus size buyers - how did it fit? Finding a jacket that fits its tricky. I'm a 2XL in "real life" (18-20 pant and 2X tops usually) and would love to hear someone's feedback on the fit of the XL and 2XL of this model. Thanks!
I bought this jacket in the spring. Normally I buy large tops I got this jacket in a Large, and it fits great. I even wore it with a lighter jacket under for more warmth. Zipped up easy and I did not look like a sausage. A little snug in the boob area but when your a D3 (44 inch chest) everything is snug there. I'm only 5,3 with wide shoulders.
