Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fixed my failed petcock. My petcock wasn’t holding vacuum anymore and causing poor fuel economy. This kit replaced all the failed rubber pieces and made my mileage remarkably better. The price was definitely right too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not work on Vulcan 800 Leaked worse than original parts. Spring seemed weak compared to old one. Original dripped. After rebuild that turned to steady dribble. Put your money towards a new OEM petcock. I put old parts back in and stretched old spring. Leak stopped for now. Only used tank gasket was from this kit. $50 for a tank gasket!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits perfect! Does the job. Good re build kit I bought this for my 1988 Yamaha XV750 stock tank and it fit perfectly and works great no issues. Just one thing to consider it does not come with the vacuum spring so if you need everything front rear tank gasket the only piece thats not included is the rear spring you will have to go to Yamaha factory parts for the whole unit other then that it works if tou have the petcock body and spring. Install is a little tricky due to the nature of the materials and not the product it self

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not fit my 1978 xs750 special the rubber parts fit but the diaphragm didn't fit the plastic spacer. I might try to drill the spacer to allow the diaphragm to fit but don't know if it will seal to shut off fuel.

        Questions

I purchased this kit for my 1978 yamaha xs 750 special and the diaphragm didn't fit the plastic spacer. Has anyone modified the spacer by drilling the centre hole to allow the diaphragm to fit through. If so what size of hole to drill did the valve work
