Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth a try I installed the K&N high-flow air filter more than a month ago, and though it's too early to tell how well it will perform, I am pleased that the suction sound is lower than I was expecting. The fit is amazingly snug and perfect. I would definitely buy this product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a K&N! What more do you need to know? The filter is great - it's a K&N! The problem is with the filter housing. It is very hard to get your hand inside the housing because there's no room - poor design. Had a lot of trouble getting the metal cap on and then trying to align the wing nut screw. Great filter, poor design of the air box on the KLR

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible manufacturing process I ordered this filter ka 2508 from Canada's motorcycle and had to return it, due to being excess rubber extremely loose, all over the filter, with pieces of dirt and rubber on the actual clean end of the filter, also a metal wire from was protruding from the rubber edge. The filter did not sit flush with the air box due to improper cuts. I ordered a replacement filter and had it checked prior to being shipped, and Canada's motorcycle verified it is a result of poor manufacturing procedure, and the second filter would have the same issues... I declined to have the order shipped and do not reccomend anybody to order this filter for your ninja 250/300. k&N used to be top notch, now they are trying to destroy bikes... Pretty poor business on their part!! Be careful and if you do order, CHECJ THE FILTER THOROUGHLY prior to installation.

What is the main difference between the 'Unique' and 'Race' filter... Is it recommended to use the Race Filter on the Street? What are the disadvantages of using the Race filter on the Street

          Asked by: Davio35
Hi Davio, It is not recommended to use the race filter on the street, as it is not oiled. Dirt racers don`t need this since they are often on the go. They can take it out, tap it on the ground to clean it and go. However most universal or unique filters, for street applications, require more maintenance. They must be cleaned out and re oiled after the recommended mileage. ~Danielle, Customer Service, Canada's Motorcycle

Does changing to a high air-flow filter require a change to exhaust and fuel settings to really see any change to performance?

          Asked by: Tom Green
Any changes from a stock air filter to a high air-flow filter will require a tune up. An additional amount of air that is not compensated by an additional amount of fuel may harm the engine. Performance increase will be a lot more noticeable if paired with an aftermarket exhaust.
