Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extra large bag with a bonus I bought these bags last month because I needed more capacity for camping with my wife. They fit the bill and arrived with a bonus, an extra key barrel that fits the Kappa 51 litre top box that I bought a year ago. It was easy to change out the lock and now I only need one key for all three. Yay!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great but they leak like a sieve Easy to pack. Durable. Look great. But they LEAK! Any heavy rain and you WILL wind up with standing water inside the bags.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kappa top case. Some well designed features. The monokey is great. Can't lock key in. A snap to install and remove. Watertight. A few slots inside would be great to add dividers if needed. Took a few prototypes to fab some. Also, a few tabs to bungee net things inside and out would add hugely to the versatility and value. Serves its basic purpose though.

                  Questions

Do these cases feature some type of tether to prevent the lid from flipping open? I'm concerned about the potential strain this could add to the hinge system.

                  Asked by: Rhino
There are two rubber tethers, one at each end of the hinge. I load mine heavily for camping two-up and actually added some strapping to the inside of the lid to hold stuff in place when the lid is opened. Have not had any issues with the hinges or the tethers.
