Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rear a little noisy Got a rear K784 for my V-Strom 1000 and just love the way the bike gets up and goes in dirt. Official rating is a 60 road/40 dirt but I definetly consider it a strong 30/70. Currently have 5000Km on it and thread still looks brand new. Can't compare to the Heideneau K60 or Continental TKC 80 but my friends that tryed my bike love the feel of the Kenda for half the price. My only small issue is that there is a pretty loud noise on paved roads between 95-105 Km/h (55-65 mph) on this size (150/70/R17) - no idea if noise is same on all sizes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good tire for the price Used this for a trip to Labrador. 2000kms of which 650kms were paved and the rest rough dirt roads. Tire gripped excellent . Secure on both paved and dirt. I was carrying a lot of weight and the tire held up. Hard sidewalls made for somewhat hard installation

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tire so far. With about 1,000km on them, these tires are proving to be very good both on and off road. The tire has gripped well on pavement, the MX track, and one adventure rally with no notable wear as of yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid tire for KLR 650 I paired this front tire with a heavy-duty tube to replace my stock front was riddled with nails. After a light break in of the rubber I can say that this tire performs great both on-road and off. Lots of grip and smooth turn-in, as well as great control on loose surfaces. I will pair this tire with the big block rear when the time comes!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great tire for the money Installed on honda Africa Twin Adv. I haven't got a lot of km on yet, but seems good so far. Started out with 30 psi, but seems too hard. Will experiment with less air, starting at 25 psi and go up or down from there. This is a knobby tire, so scrub it in adequately first and slowly increase cornering angle over first couple hundred km to find the limit. So far feels good on the road, turns in smoothly due to round shape. Feels heavier to get turning than the stock tire, but a little more push on the bars and it turns smoothly. This tire has a very stiff sidewall which makes it very hard to mount using hand tools at home. I couldn't get the last 1/8th of the tire on the rim and ended up taking to tire shop. I used the tubes with balance beads inside and had no issues with vibration or balance.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Low Kms Installed on to the rear of my 690. I do not consider myself especially abusive on the tire, rode 50/50 pavement and gravel. Only got 3000 KM. Would be better if tread was deeper. Tire did preform OK though. Going to try a more expensive tire.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Traction and Value I mounted a Big Block on my KTM 990 which can destroy tires at an alarming rate and rode to central Baja, Mexico from Idaho. We rode 7500 km in 2 weeks on as much dirt as possible. Surfaces ranged from blacktop in the rain to deep sand and rocky jeep tracks. We even aggressively rode sport bike blacktop in 80 deg F weather in California. The tire provided great traction and wore exceptionally well. Zero chunking and not a single flat. There is likely another 1000 km left in the tire. I'm ordering another.

is this tire a tubed tire or tubeless?

          Asked by: lil lew
Hi Lil, This is considered a tubeless tire. However many people are putting tubes regardless should they require them for their wheel construction. ~Danielle, Customer Service, Canada's Motorcycle

I am looking to build a scrambler style bike and would like to know the specs for the 170/60B-17 rear tire. I would like to know the rim width, tread width and the circumference or how tall it is. I could use that same info for the 130/70-17 too. Thanks

I am comparing the Shinko E805, Shinko 700, and Kenda K784 for my 2012 KLR. I am mostly concerned with their performance in mud. Is there one clear winner in mud? How about in general off road use?

          Asked by: BuffaloAl
The Kenda big block is a great all around tire. For me they've outlasted Continentals on the rear (not on the front thought) and have gotten me through very squirrley very deep mud better than anything else. Never run a shinko on the rear so I can't give a direct comparison but unless you're going for really high milage tire the Kenda is great.
