Everything I wanted
I wanted a warm/hot weather jacket that provided protection and is versatile enough for cool weather. Shopped a lot and landed on this Baja S4.
I've tested this jacket now in cooler temps. Down to 20 C (68 F) it's fine with a long-sleeve t-shirt underneath. Below that down to 15 C (59 F) I was warm enough by adding a jean jacket underneath to cut the ventilation wind. I haven't tested it below 15 C, but I'm sure adding a windbreaker/thermal layer underneath will work down to 10 C (50 F).
So basically this jacket is going to work for 95 percent of the riding I do here. And I can take it with me to the tropics (30 C+) if I ever get to travel again.
Note, this jacket is all about ventilation. The wind literally blows through this jacket.
Sizing - I'm 6'1", not carrying extra weight. I could have fit a L but opted for the XL to give me the option of layering up underneath. It's perfect. Note Klim has a sizing tool (Fit Wizard) on their website that is very helpful in getting the right fit.

Wanted hot weather gear - got it
Wanted hot weather seasonal gear for more pleasurable riding, my heavy waterproof outfit makes summer hot riding clammy. Choked down the cost of this and not disappointed - this is great gear and looks really sharp. Just standing with this outfit you can feel the slightest breeze passing right through; its easy to regulate my core temperature while riding and I don't get sticky at all (temps to 30+C). Roomy enough to add a wind-proof fleece layer for cool mornings / evenings.

The only jacket I'll ever own from here on out.
Since the mid-2000s, riding a motorcycle for me has basically meant overheating at stoplights or in anything above 28°C. I’ve tried a bunch of jackets over the years but never found one I could feel comfortable in through all the seasonal temperature swings.
This was the ticket. I’m 5'10", 180 lbs, and the medium fits perfect. I’ve worn it in 10°C with enough layers underneath to stay comfortable.
DO NOT buy a jacket with a built-in Gore-Tex shell—you will overheat. I’ve got a Gore-Tex underliner I throw on when it rains, or leave off when it doesn’t. In 28°C+ weather, I wear this and a tank top and I’m golden.
Finally—a jacket that offers protection, actually works in the heat, and lets me layer up for the cold. Game changer.
