Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive ventilation I bought the Carlsbad jacket and pants a few months ago, so far I’ve ridden in temperatures 2° Celsius up to 35° Celsius. at 2° with all the vents closed I was comfortable on the highway with wearing a warm layer underneath the jacket, no drafts whatsoever got in, and it never felt like it was getting humid and stuffy inside like other waterproof “breathable” fabrics. With all the vents open at 35° celcius, while at a standstill the jacket is just as warm as any other jacket I’ve had, but didn’t feel like I was wearing a garbage bag, the second you start moving 5km/h on the bike, providing your bike flows air to your body, the jacket exhausts the hot air out of the jacket almost immediately, i was blown away by how well placed the vents are, to be honest, I normally feel way to hot in my jackets, but the Carlsbad jacket literally has the perfect combination of allowing you to sweat and moving air across your skin, and keeping to feeling cool and fresh, I feel like I have the ac on now in hot weather while moving, my skin gets nice and cold. Offroad the venting works great too, as long as you’re moving 5-10km/h, Definitely recommended this jacket 100%

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ENFIN UN QUI TIEN SES PROMESSES !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from jacket is just right Jacket fits true to size, not too heavy, well vented, comfortable. I tend to be on the warm side all the time. I needed a jacket that wasn't too bulky and this fits the bill. All materials feel well constructed and of high quality. Price is a little on the high side but I think it's worth it for the Gore-tex and all the protection you get while still keeping it light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Carlsbad klim jacket Awesome jacket. First ride out went through 6 hours of pouring rain and I was dry as a bone underneath. A little hot in warm weather but open the vents and good to go

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have ridden with this jacket about a dozen time and so far I am very happy. Have only ridden in a light rain but so far it seems good. The venting is great on hot days provided you layer correctly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get what you pay for I looked at quite a few jackets before buying this one because I really didn’t want to spend this much money. In the end what I found is that nothing really compares to this in terms of its perfect weight, waterproofness and protection. My only gripe is that th collar is a bit stiff around the edge and can irritate my neck if I’m doing lots of moving around when it is done up tight. 95% of the time it is great though. Very nicely wind proof and water proof. Nice pocket locations and venting. This is my first jacket with pads, but they are nicely secure, don’t bother me at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has what I wantes I've been using this gear for a month now. It is light and comfortable compared to cheaper brands I've used. The part is I don't have to think about whether or not I should stop and put on the rain gear (as well as the extra luggage space from not having to bring rain gear). It does seem to expensive but I guess that's what you pay for gortex.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket. I bought this jacket, about one month ago. I am 6'3 and weigh 290 lbs. I bought a 3XL and it fits quite loose. The sleeves are long enough and so is the torso. There is enough room to add a layer if I need to.I find the neck a little stiff but hopefully it will soften up as I use the jacket. So far I am satisfied with the Carlsbad. I find it warm in the single digit temperature and fairly cool up to 28 degrees C. I haven't had a chance to try it in a heavy raining situation but I'm counting on it to be as waterproof as my Overland pants. The jacket was 20% off , I paid $595.00 + tax. It's a great price.
