Liking the new pants ...
Good pants, but don't forget to order the armour. I hadn't realized that was ordered separately, and ordered both hip and knee ... fit was good, the leg openings allowed me good access to the boots, and they are pretty comfy in the saddle
My only issue was for the price, I had to spend another $100 for the armour, and even though it was there in the fine print, for some reason I expected that to be included ... my bad ...

Great ADV Pants
These are excellent pants that fit true to size. They have solid construction, excellent venting, and superior grip on the inner thighs. I use them for ADV riding and have gone down a few times in them without much visible wear and tear. I wish they had some kind of waterproofing for the price but it’s a reasonable trade off for a quality summer pant. I would not recommend for cold weather use, or for 100% on-road riding.

Jack of all trades
As an adv rider , I wanted something comfortable with ease of movement, over the boot, with flexibility to fit armor or to fit over big boots and knee/shin guards, and at a reasonable price. These fit the bill. Mobility is excellent and they fit over my Tech7 boots with Leatt hinged knee guards. Fabric feels sturdy though I haven't crashed in them yet. They feel much more substantial than the Mojave mesh pants. My favorite feature are the pockets. They are quite large and completely unobtrusive. Downside is that the ventilation is pretty moderate, while they are not waterproof at all. Stretch panels also let air through so on a cold day you'll feel that too. So if cold temps or serious rain are suspended, bring a pair of rain pants to throw overtop. Great pants for mostly dry weather and moderate temperatures.

These pants have been great, worth the money. Quality feels good and they fit true to size. Spent the extra money and got the level 2 knee and hip pads. Fit still feels good with them in the pants, not too bulky. Highly recommend

Comfortable
Great paints. Too bad they don't come with any padding. The locations for the padding fits the Klim padding fine, hips and knees.
Venting is decent but those pants are not for hot hot or cold cold days riding.
They get pretty hot (hotter then my Joe rockets) in the sun and don't vent quite as much even with both leg vents open. When it get cold, there is a two inch strip of material that lets a lot of air flow across each leg that can't be closed. Almost a mesh. Those are great when its warm but not fun during the cold rides to work in the mornings.

Poor Sizing Chart
The Klim Dakar pants arrived today, according to the sizing chart based on my waist measurement (47) I fit a high end klim size 38 or low end 40. I ordered a Klim size 42 (max available) for extra growing space. Not even close to fitting. I used the same cloth tape measure to measure the Klim pants and they measure a 44.5 not a 50-51 as Klim chart indicates. I will be returning them unless I can sell them to a super skinny friend.

Very comfortable.
Super comfortable. Typically I just wear jeans, but these made a 1400km ride way better.

Will these fit the armor that's in the Carlsbad pants? I want to use both for a long-distance trip.
Yes they both use the D30 armour however the Carlsbad is the LP2 which is CE Level 2 armour.
