Rated 2 out of 5 by from Knee Armor Does Not Cover the Knee TL;DR knee armor sits too medial (inside) on the knee, and no amount of adjustment gets the armor to actually cover the full knee. Kneeling down in my kitchen enduces pain as the center of my knee cap hits the outer edge of the armor and the floor. I will start by saying that these jeans are relatively comfortable. The jean material has a nice stretch it it, and the armor is rather flexible. These jeans are thicker and more insulating than a typical pair of jeans so bear that in mind. As far as fit, i typically wear a 34-32 jean, i am 6' 210 lbs. These jeans were spot on for length, but require a belt to stay on as there is plenty of room in the waist. As my title suggests, the knee armor is a deal breaker for me. The pocket that holds the armor has like 6 strips of velcro and is uncomfortable. I was willing to put up with that as the jeans are otherwise very comfortable, but the armor refuses to stay in a position that would provide any sort of meaningful protection to the knee. I added some pictures where I point to the edges of the armor so you can see how little of the outer knee is protected. $400 after taxes for jeans that won't protect my knees is not acceptable for me and I will be returning them and getting a proper set of riding pants. Also as other people have commented, the hip armor came with an annoying fold in it that I had to use weights and elastics to unfold.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jeans; odd sizing Been using these for about a month. Overall, they are now great and look as good as any fashion jean from a premium shop. Love that they come standard with D30 Ghost armor. The only thing odd about them is the sizing. I normally wear a 32/34 jean. Even after a shrink-wash, these made my hips look ridiculous. I had to take them to a tailor who took close to an inch out of the waist and 3" out of the hips (1.5" each side). Length and armor location are fine for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Button snapped off after weaking 3 times I like the pants but the worksmanship and quality of the main button are subpar. Did a warranty claim and got asked to send em over for repair. From Canada to US back and forth. I did not want to wait 3 weeks as those are my only pair of protective pants. I got em repaired at a local place for 10$. A but dissapointed paying so much for this to happen. I will avoid Klim on my next purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What is a fair price for safety? I just returned from a week long trip riding through temperatures of +8 degrees Celsius to +32 degrees Celsius. The jeans served me well in both cool and hot temps. I usually wear a size 34 waist and 32 leg in jeans. These jeans fit well and provided ample space for sitting on bike 5-9 hours s day. They are a bit bulky in the hips due to the protective padding (which is removable). I went with Klim as I was always happy with the quality of their riding gear (snowmobiling and motorcycle). Certainly more pricey than other brands - but their solid reputation sold me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Much more comfortable I have the previous iteration of the Klim jeans (Fifty one?). These are not as stiff and hot as the previous model. The padding is a bit thinner and thus more flexible. They also fit snugger at the ankles which is helps prevent the cuffs from creeping up above your ankle when stopping and starting. I definitely prefer this new model.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice but extremely overpriced for what you get. Bought these pants, based on reviews. The knees are adjustable but not enough if you plan on getting them hemmed at all, need about an inch off legs and the knees do not adjust high enough and also bend in the mesh holders when your at the top setting. Hip pads are curved/curled and a bit uncomfortable, hopefully get better with wear. Decently hide the pads while walking. Waist was as expected for size.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good pair of jeans, but fit is terrible Got these after returning the Klim K fifty 1 pants witch didn't fit. Same thing with these jeans, length is good I bought the 36/34, waist size is good but so tight around the quads. I would of easily got the 38/34 size but they only make 38/32. All in all this is another pair of jeans i had to return... Other than that, the jean is of great quality, protection on these is great. The knee pads are very low, don't really hit the knee well.

Can I fit the cuff over my boots or they're too tight

                  Asked by: Alekos
These are not skinny jeans. They have a modest taper and fit over my TCX high tops.
