I finally get it
*Background*: I bought this jacket a year ago and have used it through a full season of riding in Ontario plus trips to Texas and NV/CA/AZ. I've had three jackets before: mesh and leather. I ride cruisers so generally stay on the asphalt but cover a wide range of speeds.
*The jacket*: from the first time I put it on, I knew this jacket was different. It is lightweight with the textile and the ghost armour and, with the flex throughout, it feels like you're not wearing a motorcycle jacket at all. The fabric breathes well but not quite as well as full mesh (comparing to a Joe Rocket Phoenix). At speed, the flow is more than enough but it can get a bit warmer in stop and go on hot days.
On the warmest days, this jacket feels lightweight and seems to be able to wick better than the more nylon of my full mesh but doesn't flow as much air, especially at low speed. I added a windbreaker (Klim Resilience) that really made a huge difference. With a light sweatshirt underneath, I was good going through moutain passes at 7C and, even with all three layers, it didn't feel as bulky as my other jackets; movement was easy and comfortable with a lot of stretch in all the layers and very little bulk.
Construction is impeccable, no flaws or issues anywhere. great pockets, reflective accents, top notch zippers easy to use with gloves etc. If I wanted to gripe, it would be with the ID pocket on the sleeve (perhaps because I'm not sure I see the point) and the way the cuffs open up. It's great for the cuffs to unzip to go over gloves but it opens a long way. The cuff openings have a mesh gusset but I feel vaguely piratical riding along with Adam Ant style blousy cuffs. If there was a way to leave the gusset open but close the cuff to less of an Edwardian flare, that would be good but, as it is, it isn't very helpful. I keep them zipped and it really isn't an issue so this is just nit-picking.
*Fit* I'd say it runs true to size but note that this is referring to American sizes, not EU or Asian sizing and this is actually refreshing after so much frustration with some other suppliers. I got the jacket up a size to accommodate layers but I regret that now because it would be better as a little more snug and would flap less at speed; maybe I need two.... hmmm.
*Overall*. I've looked at Klim at their high prices over the years and openly wondered about why people paid the money. I can't speak to the whole line but, based on this jacket, I can say I finally get it. With this jacket, I feel so much more free and unencumbered. I'm not conscious of wearing a jacket at all. The fact that is it AA rated and armoured and yet feels so comfortable is just amazing. I was skeptical about paying the extra for the name but I admit that it is worth every penny and you can have this jacket when you can pry it from my fingers. With a light sweatshirt and windbreaker, it took me from 7C to 30C on my recent trip and felt comfortable, breathable, and unobtrusive the whole time. I finally get it.

Awesome jacket
Bought this jacket from reviews here and there. And I am not disappointed !
Fit is true to size (M)
CE AA rating certified means superb protection.
Adjustable D3O® everywhere: nice!
Rode in hot (> 30C) and colder weather (8-10C): Entire jacket is highly breathable with nice wind protection (!)
Love the huge YKK® zippers: easy to operate with gloves.
Nice chest and forearm pocket (nice touch). Love the wrist zip vents too.
4-way stretch means it is note a rigid armoured jacket: very comfo to wear all day.
Water repellant.
Not cheap but hey, this is what I wear on my bike all day long. I don't regret a dime spent here... Would buy again! Highly recommended!

Best riding jacket! Keeps me cool when its hot, its fits loose enough to allow me to wear a warm layer under and tight enough for a rain jacket over it. The only draw back is the sleaves are a little long. 2XL 5'9" 240lbs 42 waist.

Great Jacket
Great jacket. Lighter then I expected. The padding is lighter and thinner then other brands, but you still get the same protection. Good quality by Klim as usual. Get what you pay for. Pay a little more and it will last longer. It is mesh, even though its tightly woven, so you have to be able to wear layers underneath. Layering will be dependent on which motorcycle you are wearing this jacket on. If its 25c or above, just a t-shirt underneath will be good, but 5c, and you'll need a hoodie/sweater and/or the klim zypher windbreaker underneath or equivalent for example. For temperatures in between, your layering will depend on your personal preference.

Expensive but worth it.
I've had this jacket for about a month now, and can honestly say it is by far the most comfortable riding jacket I've ever owned. It breaths very well for warmer temps, and with a light windbreaker underneath, and if needed a thin thermal layer under that it is comfy down to 9 or 10 deg c. This jacket is all about simple layering, and the layers pack down and store so easy. I think for the shoulder seasons one would still want a far less breathable jacket but I think this is going to serve me well for 80% of the riding I do. The only reason I went 4 stars instead of 5 is that there are few colour choices (I wish it came in high - vis option), and it is really expensive, but the quality seems very good. I think of it as a really well made mesh jacket that can be adapted to slightly cooler temps. Also the CE AA rating is a plus.

Awesome jacket
I bought this jacket in the spring . I live in squamish BC and commute to west van 2/3 time a week. Layer up in the am layer down in the pm has worked really well for me. As in many other reviews the sleeve are long but I find that to be true of any 2XL product on the market. It would be nice if manufactures would have different sizing for short stalky riders. Really comfortable jacket. You don't feel the weight or the armor. I'm thinking of getting a different color because black is black and is still warmer then white or light would be. As much as I like to be original I would highly recommend this jacket. 5'10" 245lb XL-2XL normally
