Expensive for what you get
Reasonably good looking, but not a lot of protection. The knee armour is small, barely covers my kneecaps and can shift in their pockets and be out of place. The hip armour is worse, it leaves the sides and points of the hip bones completely unprotected. the material does appear a little tougher than regular denim, but it's not kevlar reinforced or anything like that. They are roomy in the crotch and generally comfortable. I usually wear 38 jeans and these 36 are a little loose on me. A lot of money for barely more protection than jeans.

Baggy and comfy
Had the first gen. The new gen is better, what a difference, many says they are less heavy duty but that's why I love them.
The older version was too stiff, heavy armor, hard to lift your leg over to get on the bike. The material wasn't flexible as the new gen.
If you want more protection buy the first gen, you want protection but comfy, baggy pants these are perfect.
Going to order a second pair in brown soon

Great Pants
Reasonably priced and accurate sizing to standard American pants. I got a longer length to roll up as there are small reflector patches on the outer part of the leg when rolled up. This pair of pants came with the updated armor which are very comfortable. If you are used to or have ever worn Dickies Duck Cargo work pants, they feel and look very similar with the material being less stiff.

From great to meh (old design vs "revised")
Previous version was made of thick Cordura-Denim with decent padding offering a good blend of abrasion and impact protection. The fabric on the revised version is paper thin and I wouldn't call the new inserts "padding" with barely 5mm of air mostly (see before - after photos). Shame on you Klim for dropping the quality while jacking the price.

Comfortable and good value
I was looking for protective pants that I could just wear on-and-off the bike. I ride dual sport and hope to get more into ADV and was looking for included armour as well. The price was reasonable, especially for a Klim product, and they seem well made. They are drag-on-the-ground long when you're off the bike, but when you're on the bike they are perfect. Air flow seems fine, even on hot days. I wore them in pouring rain and, as expected, they soaked and took a while to dry out. I've recommended these for anyone looking for riding jeans because they look like carhartts. I hope to never find out how well the protection works but you hardly know its there.

Great pants
Great pants. I substituted thicker knee pads but the pants fit true to size. I’m a 36 in carharts and a 36 klim fits the same.
