I'm pretty sure I'm going to like these.
I gave the "4" score only because the armour is not Level 1 certified. The thin suede texture chamois in the crotch/groin area is pretty thin. When not wearing racing leathers, one can feel the chamois but it's not intrusive. With leathers on, I don't notice it. The tailbone pad could stand to be wider and longer. The shape of the top two pads on the hip prevent folding and bunching when on my '05 SV650S. The Level 1 pads in my previous armoured shorts were larger, 1-pc units in this area but after only 10 track days, the pads split where they were forced to fold. The waist band on the previous shorts was above the belt line (= too high). The Klim pants are right at the beltline (= comfortable). Leggings are comfortable & seem to be well constructed. By going to these armoured leggings instead of armoured shorts + leggings, I eliminate a waistband. I called Fortnine to get proper size. The sizing chart is in numbers but the ordering screen uses S,M,L so the sizing chart provided no useful information.
