I have put around 1000kms of riding in with my new Klim TK1200 Traverse Karbon in White. While the helmet itself is beautiful and the transition visor is excellent the overall impression I have is poor. The helmet whistles, Yes you heard me it whistles. Vents up or down it does not matter at certain speeds there is a clear whistle from the whind whipping in some where. Which leads me to how breezy it is. Normally this is a good thing but with all the vents closed I was trying to make the helmet a little warmer on a cold night and it failed huge. The wind continued to whip through the helmet making a cold ride even colder. On top of this the helmet does not always close properly! For the price paid I would have expected this helmet to operate correctly. Closing it with two hands is the only way to ensure the lid comes down sqaurely and locks properly. If not closed properly the helmet is even worse for wind and noise.
Now the final kicker. The strap to secure the helmet while convenient to connect and disconnect is a very large chunck of metal that pushes sharply on my adams apple. This makes riding with it uncomfortale at most times.
Given how much air moves through the helmet even when you try to stop it I am very concerned about how wet I will get when I get caught in the rain.
I am considering going back to my very cheap HJC or the no name modular I was using before which cost mere $150 and aside from the visor was better than what I have now.
Sorry KLIM but I truly expected more from this helmet!

Cons:
- chunky strap connector digs into neck
- very loud
- does not always close properly (use both hands and check gaps on sides with gloves off to ensure it is closed right)
- can't seem to shut vents as wind continues to whip through even when closed
- helmet whistles at certain speeds

Best helmet I've ever owned!
The Transitions face shield is amazing, it's always the right level of "dark". This helmet is very well ventilated for those hot days, even on slow rides in city traffic. Closing the vent on the top will reduce the ventilation to about what other helmets offer, and will also eliminate the "whistle" that other people have reported. The helmet is also lightweight and super-comfortable, even on very long rides. Only complaint is the amount of wind noise (even with vents closed), but I feel this is typical of modular helmets.

Never had expensive helmet before
Bought 2 of these one for me and one for wife
Never spent that much on a helmet before
But the ones we had just not right and loud .
These are great we both love them. Nice and light and real quit . The bonus was the shield when it tints . Wife not complaining forgot my sunglasses . It works great . Won't buy inexpensive helmets again . Only one thing is on small side . But the vents work great the chin piece helps as well. Easy to open .will buy again when needed

tres confortable et léger
Casque très confortable, bien ventilé, très facile a ouvrir et fermer.La visiere photochromatique est très utile ,pas trop besoin de lunettes de soleil...sauf si vous roulez le casque ouvert! Donc un excellent casque ..un peu bruyant toutefois.. ne pas oublier vos bouchons acoustiques. La grandeur commandée fonctionne bien avec la charte...la base du casque épouse bien le tour du cou c est un peu serré pour entrer dans le casque..mais ensuite ca donne un casque bien ajusté pour la route.

Nice Weight
I'm really enjoying the weight of this helmet compared to others I've owned. It is however louder than I expected. I have had more expensive helmets in the past so maybe my expectations were higher. Being modular is probably part of the reason. Love the transition shield as well.
