Gore-Tex 2-Layer Performance Shell is the waterproof barrier that keeps you dry when the skies open up. Multiple zippered vents provide air flow when needed. Goat leather reinforcement on the inside leg holds up to the rigors of riding and provides tactile feedback from the bike. D3O LP1 hip and knee armor provide CE level 1 protection while still venting. It doesn't matter what the conditions, the Klim Altitude Women's Pants can take them on.

Great Pants
Bought these for my wife. She loves them. They are very comfortable on and off the bike. The padding is in the correct location. She was, however, surprised they were designed by women. She commented that the fly isn't long enough which restricts the opening and makes them difficult to pull on over the hips. (She is very slim and thinks that the pants could open up a little bigger.)

Size differed from the size chart
I ordered a pair of size 6 tall Klim Women's Altitude Pants for my wife after spending some time with a measuring tape and the Klim size guide on the Fort Nine site. Based on my wife's actual measurements and the Klim size guide, the pants should have fit with a decent amount of room to spare, however, they were too small to even get over my wife's (very slim) hips. The cut on these particular pants was also very low in the waist. As a result, we unfortunately had to take advantage of Fort Nine's excellent product return system.
We may be better off with the Artemis model - though I am not sure.
Size problem aside, the pants are a quality product and if you found a good fit, I have no doubt that they would be an excellent addition to a person's riding gear.

Runs small.
I'm five nothing and around 120 lbs. There are few petite pants available. I bought these at a six size, wish I had a 7. Little long for me, can barely squeeze these around my hips, had to take out the hip protective foam to wear comfortably. Velco is never done up on the sides. They definitely keep you dry, and air flow isn't bad, but I revert to shorts and chaps in +30 celcius, or your still a ball of sweat at highway speeds.

Top quality riding pants
I love these pants. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that they fit me. I usually wear a size 18 in pants and the size 16 klim pant fit me fine and I was able to tighten the waist with the awesome Velcro adjustments. I’m a curvy girl and there is plenty of room. I love all the zippered vents for much needed airflow on hot days. Goretex for those rainy days is a must. Only odd thing is the back of the leg zipper snags right where a bench or chair ends so you feel the rubbing. It’s minor but you know it’s there, There are also no pockets to put a key if you take your jacket off. Also a minor issue.

Klim for the win
I’ve been riding for over a decade now and I’m always tired of having to pull over and put on rain pants. These gortex pants will solve that problem. I ordered a size 16 (I’m usually a size 18) and they fit with room to spare. I’m so happy. They are truly cut to fit a woman’s curvy body. I love all the snaps and straps to tighten up around your ankles and calves. I’d say order a size down and definitely refer to the size chart.
