Reliable quality chain, finish not to much.
I’ve used KMC chains for years, on every bike I’ve owned, so this was the first thing I ordered when I picked up a new to me bike this summer.
The black looked great out of the box and for the first few rides, however after a couple of cleans it’s sadly started to wear off.
I usually use the gold EL chains but it was out of stock at the time I was ready to buy. I’m not used to the finish fading on me, so needless to say I’m pretty disappointed and honestly wont buy anything other than gold going forward.
The quality of the chain itself is still top-notch. It’s quiet, smooth shifting and I know from past experience that I won;t have to worry about it for quite some time.
