Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never ride without it 20k km after never having used a back pack and now i wont ride without it. Having 3 liters of drinking water on hand at anytime is huge. 3 liters is enough for an 800km day or a smaller day and an over night camping trip. I keep my rain gear, snacks and a water filter for filling it up on the road if needed. The chest attachment is the best on the planet. I dont feel the weight even on week long trips. Its pricey but during a low side the pack never tore. It is by far my favorite piece of gear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Secure and Comfortable I've been using it for a while now, and I'm still sad about the small capacity but it is enough for my daily commute and a trip to the grocery store to pick up some goodies for dinner. I think the best thing about this pack is how it carries weight. It's not like a typical backpack that is carried on your shoulders, the harness type straps put the load on your chest making it much more comfortable to carry heavy packs long durations. And the hard back piece keeps it from digging in creating any discomfort there as well. The two reasons I can't give it a 5 star review are price point, and price vs capacity. I could have gotten a larger water proof bag for $100 less and wouldn't have known the comfort this bag offers because I've been carrying weight on my shoulders since Elementary School. I'm prepared to say the quality is there, but we'll see how it holds up over daily use and if the 10 year guarantee will be truly tested!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great backpack for daily commuting yes it is expensive, but the backpack is really well constructed with excellent materials. the size is perfect for daily commuting. if you're looking for something to take on a trip, the bigger Kriega sizes will be more practical. the quad lock system works transferring weight to the chest area instead of shoulders or lower back. it feels planted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size backpack Very high quality backpack, it is the perfect size for day trips. It distributes the weight nicely on you back, you barely even notice that you have a backpack on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great format - amazing shoulder straps Bought this while waiting on my panniers and top case (needed to carry some stuff around!). The mounting system is AMAZING - you can't feel it on your shoulders and the optional waist strap isn't really needed. Bought the hydratation pack with it, it does fill the bag a lot but makes it so convenient. Seriously, this is a killer bag. On top of that, the Kriega logo alongs with various straps (front and back) are highly reflective (probably 3m scotchlight!) so when I get out at dusk or at night, I put it on just for this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Decent Backpack The Kriega R20 backpack fulfilled my needs for some cross-country riding. The construction is very durable and the unique harness is very comfortable. I added a Kriega Hydro-pack for carrying water which also worked well (after I figured out how to route the supply tube to the outside of the backpack - instructions would have been useful). The price, which I think is high, prevents it from receiving 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Daily bag Bought this about a month ago and I have used it on almost every single ride. Use it when I ride to the gym, commuting, or when I'm picking up a few small things from the store. It's really comfortable, sometimes it feels like I'm not even wearing it. On the more expensive side, but ultimately it was worth it.

Questions

Hi, Looking at the clips on the front of the pack, would anybody know if these can be integrated (or stacked) with the Kriega drypack system? Or perhaps can attach the same to either Kriega's tank or tail attachments?

Asked by: russelljoseph
According to Kriega, they do not recommend attaching the backpacks to the bike as they have not been tested to be used in this way.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has used this for work commuting with a laptop plus a notebook(s)? The curvature of the bag looks like it would be annoying with a laptop

Asked by: hgwilliam
I have used this backpack with a 15 inch laptop a lot and it never bothered me. My commute has never been too long though, around 25 minutes.

Is it waterproof or does it come with a rainfly?

Asked by: Falconpunch79
The Zippers are waterproof. I would consider the backpack water resistant. It does not come with a fly or cover.
